@frankenm very cool; Buttonwillow is a fun flow-y track. I've only been once since it's far from NorCal, but I plan on moving to the LA area soon. Will probably be doing Buttonwillow / Willow Springs etc a lot

Also really cool to see there's more people enjoying their Supras on tracks. This forum is quite inactive track-wise compared to m3post (e9x m3) where there's a bunch of track rats. Hopefully we get more and we can share information like we do on m3post. We've figured out that car really well, but the Supra is more of a question mark.
Most track rats are active on the MkV supra track facebook group

I think at the new (or newish) price point of the Supra, there are other platforms for track duty that have more aftermarket support and/or proven track performance/reliability.

We’ll definitely see more track usage as the platform ages and track reputation spreads.

Me too. Definitely a track rat who is trying to learn.
Zupra is basically track only driven these days.

If anyone is in or near VA and wants to come to my little track as my guest shoot me a message

my little youtube vids:
(need a kid to add effects and or make them cooler)

If we are sharing youtubes this is mine, it is also lacking a kid to add effects.

I LOVE my Supra. But i have kinda of ruined it. It was a quick, sporty GT comfy car. It is now loud, harsh riding, hard to get in and harness- Hans etc.

Think if i were to go so far down the track rabbit hole again I would have started with a prepped, caged race car from the start and left a car like the supra mildly tuned and mostly cosmetic.

My brakes held up fine whenever I’m able to be aggressive on them (late braking). When I get stuck in traffic and people ride their brakes before the corner then my will heat up and fade a bit. Luckily, I’ve found that fewer and fewer people do that as I move up through the ability groups. Can’t wait to get to the top group, holy balls are those guys much faster than intermediate group.

Agreed - the street/track balance is tough and will often leave you dissatisfied one way or the other.

Race car problems ...

Driving on the street just becomes extremely unsatisfying traffic is terrible there are speed limits .... idiots in their sentra driving like the streets are a road course trying to cause accidents

I cannot wait to be back on the track need to go faster

I've gone down this road before and trying to keep the Supra very streetable while also being very good on track.

When you start removing interior parts is the major turning point so I'm keeping all mine stock.
Going to get a Simpson Hybrid S so I can still use a Head and Neck restraint with the stock seats and 3 point seatbelt.

I just started tracking mine this year and I freakin' love it. This was originally supposed to be a comfy GT with my 2019 MX-5 as the track toy....the Miata is now for sale.

I love tracking mine. I mix it up between this and another car and find it very capable. I'm changing the brake fluid to motul 660 later this week for next weeks day at donny, but will keep it broadly standard as my other car is the primary track car.
