I'm planning to get an aftermarket catback (stock downpipe due to 2022 ecu and emissions) and was just wondering if it's worth keeping the stock catback or if it has any value. Although I have no means to transport it back nor have the storage space for it anyways since it's one whole piece. Or should I just let the shop do what they want with it. What has everyone done?

Also, while we're here, any catback recommendations that retains the stock valve? After browsing awhile, I've kinda narrowed it down to either ARK or Remark. I like how they sound like a deeper, "enhanced" version of stock and doesn't sound raspy at all. I like how HKS sounds as well, BUT I personally hate the single wall and the almost 5" tips look.

Most people try to sell it and end up maybe getting 100 or 200 bucks. It’s too large to ship for most people because it’s 1 piece and unless you’re planning on going back to stock to trade in or sell most people seem to scrap them.

Went with HKS and absolutely love it. The sound is perfect because you notice the change in sound from stock but it's not obnoxiously loud.

There are several high-flow catted downpipes that would work nicely for you. MAPerformance, Active Autowerkes, etc.
I’ve heard from a local owner here that his catted DP throws codes as well. I forget which brand it was

I say keep it just in case you sell the car or want to go back to stock.

As far between Remark or ARK, I'm a dealer for both so contact us for ETA and pricing!

Most exhausts i've seen for the Supra have 5" tips. I loved my AWE when I had it, was the best sounding one that i've heard in person.

All downpipes will trigger a check engine light unless they use GESI or HJS cats.

The most popular brands are Active Autowerke (GESI) and Fabspeed (HJS)

Keep it if you can, mount it on a wall to keep it out of the way. As the cars get older folks will be looking for the stock parts which will be $$$$.

Catback exhaust, I recommend magnaflow modular system, it keeps
The exhaust valve, and in regards to the stock exhaust,I threw mine out!,
To big to keep!, but,on second thought,
I should’ve kept it , cut it in half, so I can
Box it, and store it.

I've said it a million times and will again, lol. I personally love the active autowerkes exhaust. Keeps stock valve as well. Armytrix, active autowerkes and awe are my favorites. I think I'm the only one that doesn't care for the Tomei and rk etc. Get what makes you happy though! And as others have said, keep your stock parts.

Some catted downpipes won't through a CEL.

..., I've kinda narrowed it down to either ARK or Remark....
Having just installed the Remark exhaust, I should note that mine has some significant drone at 2000rpm & again between 3200-3500rpm. I've paired the Remark with an AMS catted downpipe. Outside of the drone ranges, in Sport mode & just daily driving I find it quieter than stock exhaust (paired w/ catless downpipe), and louder in normal/comfort. It's definitely too quiet during deceleration, and I find myself glancing at the dash to know when to downshift, whereas I could easily hear the rpm while running catless DP w/ stock exhaust. It does sound nice at WOT though... and it's really pretty.

I expect I'll probably move to HKS catback.
