Exactly. I mean I love the JZ family of engines, but I'm also not looking to buy a $50,000 car so I can put a 20 year old engine from a written off Toyota Aristo into it lol. If I was going to do that I could just stick with what I have already.
Not all of us take motors from written off Aristo's and drop them into our cars. If you see my build in the garage section, you can see what the motor looked like before and after. If I get a new car with a mediocre motor and plan to swap a 2JZ, you can be assured that thing will be stripped down to it's last nut or bolt for a solid rebuild. Personally, I don't care too much for a 2JZ in factory state....it's when you build them up that the engineering behind the motor really shines.

Car looks good! I'm excited to see what the future holds. I also like that Toyota is putting a huge emphasis on the handling aspect of this car.

Hmm What AM I driving?
Hmm as excited as I am if that rumor is true about ethanol compatibility....I'm still wary about the BMW aspect of this car. It may be unreliable :( then again I know nothing of the e85 life

Tada has already gone around and consulted some of the aftermarket, and he will likely go even harder on release.

Part of the reason the ZN6 had so many parts available right around launch was early access and support from Toyota.

This is all my take, I'm sure he already had asked big Japanese companies about this, I'm sure one of them is CUSCO and Greddy. I also have a feeling that camouflage prototypes have been given to or has been loaned to Japanese aftermarket for development of parts. Not to mention Toyota's own GR should already have some array of parts.

AS MUCH AS people say it's going to flop on release I think it will be like the 86 and start it's own following right away.

it's gonna be a successful car, just for different reasons than what the A80 guys demand this car should have been lol

HKS was dropping hints the other day btw.
What sort of hints were they dropping?

I do not understand that bmw and toyota not yet optional option on all models essance a fuel flex kit. Development costs are ridiculous just add a coefficient on the map based on the percentage of ethanol. But all the recent European car are already ethanol compatible with a ethanol box or a new mapping.

The Q&A was so hard to hear with the music in the background, but it sounds like Tada said work on the Supra started before the FT1, but people loved it so much that they worked with Calty to incorporate some of the styling cues onto the Supra.
