Took the supra to the shop to get the seibon MB aero installed, ppf, and ceramic coated. The car is out for a whole week can't wait to see how it looks when everything installed.

Cusco Strut Brace and the 6-Port Verus Engineering Turbo Heat Shield installed.

I don't know if it's a placebo effect or not, but the Cusco Strut Brace feels like it does a better job than the OEM struts.

I don't know how to describe it other than the car feels more capable during spirited driving.

Was my first mod! I felt the same way. Tightened up the front and improved turn-in. Enjoy!

They're fun as hell and I hope you keep us all updated on the future build!
Ok. Two weeks in.

Changed all the hoses and surge tank preventatively. Overall I am enjoying this car a lot. Old fashioned ergnomics... I am 6'2", so I love having a height adjustable mirror again that I can crank right up to the headliner... pillars are narrower, removable roof is a lot of fun. The hood/dash and belt line is so low, the car almost disappears and visibility is amazing! Performance wise, the low end torque is not the same as the supra, but rev up just a bit and it goes like hell. Exhaust music is better than the 2.0's vacuum cleaner drone (and turning on ASD just made it sound like a straght six pickup or BMW!) The c5 4 speed is old school, but hard to trip up compared to the c6's incompetent 6 speed. It can also be shifted manually ... the c6 "paddles" are merely suggestive and "sport mode" was a joke. I was originally shopping for a c6 but the tranny killed it for me.

The best part over the supra, is it is naturally aspirated... no long and unpredictable "turbo lag" especially when stopped at a light or wherever and having to wait for the car to take off on its own. The supra was my first and will be the last turbo car I own because of this behavior!

I think it could use a bit more damping especially in the rear (I preferred the '01 and '06 z51 examples I drove, but they were in poor condition otherwise). Actually around the cones it is perfectly composed, but some bumps on the road can be a bit floaty. It rides a lot smoother than the supra overall.

The seats are already scheduled for replacement, and I want to upgrade the caliper and radiator this year as well. Otherwise I have been remarkably satisfied with this car. First autocross was grinning ear to ear (oh btw I am on all season tires?!) Only three more weeks and I can have it on a road course finally!

Did 160 at the track and felt fine with the AMS. Well "fine". The wind noise you would expect still exists lol. But the buffeting was gone
I have the AMS buffeting kit, as well as the autoteknik mirrors (maybe those help, not sure).

0 buffeting until about 130, then INTENSE buffeting.

Hmm the buffeting comes back for me right around 100mph with my AMS ones. Wonder why they seem to be so inconsistent.

Gave her a well deserved bath after getting back from the tint shop
LLumar IRX40 all around and LLumar Air80 on the windshield
Running my AC ~4 degrees warmer now as the IR heat rejection is amazing
well worth it if you guys live in a hot climate

Just mounted my front and rear dash cam! Today it goes in for wire tucking and hard wiring to the battery for sentry mode!

Changed out my valve stem caps.
The plastic ones didn't survive the last freebie of Toyota Care service.

I use the AMS and I have been up to 145 mph on track (the kind with turns) with no head explosions.

The car does have a low key whistle starting at about 130mph though:
