I had a quick question and sorry if this has been answered before but i tried to search but did not find anything. Basically i am looking to purchase a RK TI Signature single exit exhaust but what happens when you delete the exhaust flaps? does it cause a CEL? any adverse issues to how the car functions or performs?

thank you in advance.

Car will be fine. There are several options out there to deal with the valve. You can just tuck it up or delete it with something like this:

I’ve read somewhere that you can buy like sensor deletes for the exhaust flaps. That just plug into the sensor. But I don’t know if it throws any CEL or I don’t know if any problems will occur.

I pulled my fuse to keep the valve open all the time. Not sure how similar the results will be, but I got a CEL, cleared it and it came back on the next morning. I cleared it again and it hasn’t come back on, but there is a code stored if I read codes…

I pulled my fuse last week, so I've been running with the flap open for a good while, and I have had no CEL. And it didn't cost me anything aside from 5mins of my time!

You can unplug it from the exhaust with no CEL. Just make sure the flap is open before you do. You’ll get a soft code if you pull codes but it will not light up your dash. Have been running like this for almost 3 years between my M4 and the Supra.
