I had it flared out like yours, but still not staying haha. Any down sides of just removing it?
Ya my main issue is flaring it out on the bottom side I think. You'll suck in some warmer engine compartment air...
i know that i had to work it all the way onto the lip to get it seated right which was a pain. i cant remember if i used alcohol on the lip of the carbon box to remove any spray ceramic coating that i had applied but that may work in your case...
That little duct piece is missing from this picture. Are you not using it?have the inner part flared away from the box that way it pushes against the box. has never worked loose once i figuired that out.

I didnt use it during the winter to get some sound out of it, i run with it on once it gets hot out. That little duct piece is missing from this picture. Are you not using it?
Hairspray it like we did back in the day. Works fine.I have tried both configurations and it still pops off. I actually hear it pop off after quickly letting off the throttle. Does not matter if I send it or not. I have some black tacky tape that I might line the pipe with to keep it from moving.
Yep, I ended up doing the same thing but with 3 smaller zip ties linked together.Found a solution, large zip tie.

For the price of the intake it's kind of.ridiculous this is a problem. Still need to cut the extra so it's less obvious.
