Anyone who owns the full kit (carbon box and intake). Have a question about install. How did you get the rubber seal to stay on the bottom and top of the box? Every time I get it on and go for a drive it ends up popping/ sliding off.

Lots of cursing, fervent prayer, silicone grease and a set of o-ring pick tools to get the seal seated when installing

Mine stays on right up until the moment I send it. It slides right off after that.

May need to add something tacky or soemthing that will let it stick on the lip of the box and won't be permanent.

I had it flared out like yours, but still not staying haha. Any down sides of just removing it?

You'll suck in some warmer engine compartment air...

i know that i had to work it all the way onto the lip to get it seated right which was a pain. i cant remember if i used alcohol on the lip of the carbon box to remove any spray ceramic coating that i had applied but that may work in your case...

Ya my main issue is flaring it out on the bottom side I think.

I have tried both configurations and it still pops off. I actually hear it pop off after quickly letting off the throttle. Does not matter if I send it or not. I have some black tacky tape that I might line the pipe with to keep it from moving.

That little duct piece is missing from this picture. Are you not using it?

Hairspray it like we did back in the day. Works fine.

Anyone ever come up with a solid solution for this? Flaring the seal out towards the engine doesn't not work at all for me. One hard pull and it pops right off.
