Hello all,
been on the site for about week and figured its time to post in this thread (and maybe upload a pic as some point). I'm now 40 so it makes sense to purchase a red sports car. I went with a 2020 3.0 Premium >10K. I wasn't necessarily looking to build the supra out completely but as it happens it came with a few mods already! This to me is ok, but I am a little uneasy as I don't know exactly whats been done. What I do know...
- Armaspeed intake
- H/R Springs (got a bit excited when I saw the springs, sad face when I saw "BMW" on the shocks)...
- CF this and that...
- MBRP exhaust system with Titan Motorsport downpipe.

I don't know what downpipe type though (cat'ed/cat-less). I assume its cat-less because of the exhaust smell. No other details other than the supra sounds great/loud (grumbles like its mad you stopped feeding it 93 octane). However, this brings up the concern for me as I don't have a CEL. So based on what I've read so far in the forum, this car might have been unlocked and tuned if it has an aftermarket downpipe and doesnt throw a code..? Not sure how I would know without taking to a performance shop or the dealership? Any help on this would be much appreciated as I have the 10K break service due and would like to get that done without fear of resetting the ECU to factory and causing a bunch of code bullshit to pop-up as drive out of the dealer parking lot. Additionally, the previous owner did use Bimmercode as the car defaults/starts in Sport mode and Sport plus is present as an option.

My only accomplishment with this supra is the subwoofer DIY and those shitty CF stick-on paddle shifters (will replace w/steering wheel in the near future). Oh and I've washed it a few times...

Overall, this is my second supra (first car was an 89' supra, loved it), and I'm "supra" happy with it. The transition from my previous ride has been both easy and hard (so to speak). The easy... I had an X5 so all of the controls are exactly the same. Hard... I've driven SUVs for the past 15 yrs....

A catted dp typically does not throw CEL. There are also a couple catless dp’s that do not throw the CEL. I have the catless armytrix on my ‘22, it uses an o2 sensor bung packed with “special” metals to trick the sensor, no CEL with it after a couple thousand miles. So that’s not going to be a good indication of wether or not it’s unlocked and tuned.

Not sure if you have a good view of that dp with your particular air intake but it’s easy to pull it out of the way - shine a light on your dp and post a pic. Somebody here can tell you if it’s catted or not and probably what brand it is too (if it’s not clearly marked).

I called titan motorsports, they weren’t to helpful as they stated they didn’t make DPs and more….
