I was leaning towards mhd for the ots maps right now. Reason being, in May I plan to upgrade the turbo and do the custom maps then.

If you’re going to be upgrading the turbo soon and get a custom map i’d say go with BM3 also try to already find a tuner and see what he uses as well MHD is good for OTS maps

I would choose depending on what’s available locally to you. With ECUTEK you get a tune tailored to your car right off the bat. With BM3 and MHD you get an OTS map but you also have the ability to have it tailored as well.

I keep hearing people say ECUTEK is "SOOOOO MUCH BETTER" but other than full integration with Reflex Port injection, what is so much better with Ecutek compared to Bootmod3?

For the majority of people, nothing. There is a level of refinement that can be achieved through RaceRom you cannot achieve in just tuning the calibration maps.
Do most tuners do this on street cars? No.
Is Ecutek objectively better for racing given a tuner of the same proficiency? Yes.
Almost no difference between a custom BM3/MHD tune and an Ecutek tune unless you are paying for that refinement.

The only addition that RaceRom has over BM3 is the per-gear fine tuning, if that is what you mean. You can do per gear tuning in BM3 as well but ecutek offers slightly higher refinement tables. The center display hijack is another but BM3 has the gauge cluster hijacking for map slot/ethanol level.

Both RaceRom and BM3 offer:
Map switching
Flex fuel with CAN connection
Antilag

RaceRom has over BM3
I was definitely unaware that BM3 can do wheelie control, launch control, multi stage nitrous/meth control through reflex, boost by gear/boost by speed, timing by wheel speed, etc. That is good to know.

This is why I am asking. I don't see that listed in any ecutek documentation. Is that all through Reflex? If so, then I already called out full Reflex integration.

The higher refinement of gear-based tuning I already called out.

It is not, only nitrous/meth stuff.
