order status is A20 - Production Confirmed

the dealer is suggesting that it will be Feb-23 for delivery.

Do you have a batch number?
I have no idea what my order status code is but I have been given a batch number.
I dont expect to see my car by Feb, so I'll be signing another contract I'd say which will be no 3, (they only last 3 months) my current one says delivery by Feb 23.
Hope I'm wrong
I have beem told that because they are made in Austria, Toyota gets very limited info.
It certainly sounds like a bit of a cluster......

I got mine this week, I had ordered a yellow manual however I needed the car earlier. The dealer was so nice they offered this one to me as they told me that they had this car coming in and that I could have it if I want it.

I was like yep, my spec.

I am not sure how the batching numbers work.

Batching numbers are just stock numbers. It just means it's been entered into the purchase cycle properly. You get them 1 day after putting an order through.

ahh ok, wondering if this number is sequential based on time of order.

my first order was November and that had a date of 01.2023 as production date.

then I changed the colour to the azure blue this week, and I believe this one was already in production and on order. as I needed a car sooner I think I took this one. Production date on it shows 11.2022

btw, congratulations on picking up a 2020.

Are you sure it is a production date? Thats very quick to get one. Is it a "CP Date"? Thats a customer promise date and is just a guess the sales rep/sales manager put into the system at time of sign-up.

I work at a large dealership, and getting an estimated production date that quickly is uh... yeh... not exactly normal.

Exactly what I thought, they worked their magic, which I am not complaining about.

It's the production month 11.2022, they showed me on screen and the status is A20.

It has a material and Katashiki code too, which my previous one didn't have.

Doing some research I found the Z to be inferior anyways so I’ve jumped ship. Also have a GR Yaris Rallye which will go well with the Supra when it arrives, perfect car combo I think.

I received an update from my dealer today.

I was originally due for production in November 22. However it has been delayed due to semiconductor shortage. Dealership now expecting January 23 production with delivery in March 23.

All of this is the dealerships best guess.

If it does get delivered in March, that will be a full year since I placed my deposit.

Wondering if anyone else has had any news regarding their orders.

I had an unconfirmed build of November then January. I need to follow up with the dealer but my guess is it's been pushed back again
And from what I gather once it's been manufactured it's about 3 months till delivery so I'd say it's more like an April or May delivery at best.

I think that sounds more realistic as well. I just don't understand the order of builds, it appears that it isn't first come first served.

Found a 2023 manual supra on carsales! Someone has already purchased one, had it delivered, drove it for a 1000kms and onsold it. I find it hard to believe that they would of had an earlier deposit.

Seems like the dealer selling on the demo at a mark up.

I asked my dealer when he was expecting the demo and the response was "No idea, the new world of Toyota"

I'd have thought on the 10th of October when they were officially released they'd have at least had Demos in the country.

As you said mate is what it is.
