Mildly annoying. Mine was slated for a Nov build, so now it's a little bit weird. I'm the only A90 on order at my dealer, so hopefully they come through with some answers. Apparently there's been some issues in the system that is making statuses not accurate... but still.

I'm not in a hurry, have plenty of projects to go on with... but I'm just excited!

I'm still nowhere near the point of excitement yet, more like frustrated and annoyed. The communication is woeful.
On another note, those of you that have an earlier model, please tell me the toyota badge above the supra at the back is glued on and will be easy to remove. It better not be bolted or screwed on.

Mine was showing as a Nov build too so hopefully your batch number is very close now.

It's glued mate, I didn't remove it on my 2019, but nothing a heat gun and fishing wire won't fix.

No updates on my order. Still no build date... I check everyday hah.

Going to take the demo home over the xmas break. It's a 2020 GT, so its a little different in both power and accessories to a 2023 GTS, but keen to get to spend a few days with it and show my wife (shes never sat in one).

What month manufacture 2020? It may be the 6-port head and have the full-fat 382kW.

I loved the 8AT in sport mode (but transmission in normal).

When I wanted to have some fun, I went manual paddles only, with ESC/VSC completely off - the car is completely different! ... but it can be a bit of a handful, she's a lively critter!

If I could afford one as my track car (and put the A70 back to a road car) I'd have an 8AT A90 in a heartbeat. One of the best manual autos I've driven - right up there with Porsche DSG.

First time posting,

Thought I'd put in my two cents since I've been watching this thread for some time.

I ordered my 2023 Supra GTS, Azure Blue, Tan leather interior, Manual gearbox at the beginning of March this year.

After 3 months at the beginning of June, I received an email from Toyota Australia with the 'Oh what a feeling - get excited for your new supra'.

I heard absolutely nothing until December 8th when I was called and told that my car was had an early November manufacturing date and that, and I quote, that the car is already built or being built as we speak. The issue is that there was no shipping date available. I was told an estimate of landing in Oz mid January to mid February.

In saying that, I haven't received any allocation number or VIN number or anything. Just what I was told over the phone and that's it.

Unfortunately I'll be overseas in Feb and early March so even if it comes I'll be opting to pick it up once I'm back in Oz.

Anyways I thought this may be of interest to some of you.

All the best with your orders everyone!

Wow, you have been waiting even longer than me Danny.
It's a perfect shit storm atm isnt it, covid, microprocessor shortages, etc. now add shipping to the list :(
We couldn't have picked a worse time to be waiting for a car.
Hang in there everyone, I have just accepted now that she will be here when she gets here. And it is still 3 months at least away I'd say.

Hi Snakes70,

I hear ya, the anticipation is absolutely killing me.

It's even more frustrating since a few days ago I spotted a 2023 supra in traffic next to me. It was a GTS (had the new 19 inch rim design), matte white, and I saw the tan interior on the seat as it drove by. However it had the black Supra badge so assuming it is automatic.

I can't understand for the life of me how some could of landed and not others. It's not like they are selling hundreds of these vehicles. I'm pretty sure they could of fit everyone's Australian orders on one ship at the same time!

Fingers crossed it's not any longer than 3 months!

My stealer is now suggesting a mid year delivery. Maybe. Also, the whole Alcantara is holding up things argument seems bunk as someone on Facebook in Sydney has had an exact same spec car as me delivered already. Manual/Yellow/Alcantara/MT.

Frustrating is an understatement!

Yeah, I've been told there's a third party component affecting build months... so who knows for mine.

I honestly think its bullshit. Alcantara was the reason given for mine being delayed, except I saw one in my spec was delivered in Sydney last week.

After spending the morning making calls across the state and hearing every reason under the sun, I now firmly believe a) nobody really knows what's going on, b) the entire Toyota way of ordering cars is incredibly stupid, b) they're mostly all lying or putting it kindly, making shit up.

I heard all of the following today: They only make Australian Supras in 500 lot batches so without enough orders they won't be built; They're only willing to sell to enthusiasts; They take three months to come from Japan; No manuals delivered in the country yet; 24 month wait time; blah blah blah.

I think it's the former. The Australian market is just so small, and the order system being slightly different for cars that come from Austria, they just don't know what the go is.

Thanks for chasing it up! Considering the 2023s that have landed, and the fact that I was probably one of the first to put an order in Oz, I think your absolutely right, just a clueless bunch.

There is absolutely no rhyme or reason for the way the orders were handled in Oz and how they are currently coming through to the market. It's all bull...
