Hi All,

I've bitten the bullet and placed an order for an Nurburg Matt Grey 8AT with the tan interior. I ordered via a broker but the dealership they use advise a delivery date of late July. I'll believe it when I see it but the wait is going to kill me. Until then I'm making do with a GT86 which is heaps of fun, if lacking power.

Just wondering if anybody has received any updates?

My dealer is a bit bloody useless as it turns out and I have to wait for his boss to get back from leave to get an update. I was slated for an unconfirmed Jan build. My guess is it's been pushed back.

I was told a few days ago that my build is "pencilled in" for next month?

Yeah much the same here. I'm starting to get (almost) as impatient as LMFAO... I don't like only having 3 road cars! haha

The only contact I've had since getting a batch number was an email from a pleb saying now that I'm in the production cycle I will get updates from a different pleb.
Nothing since then which was a couple of weeks ago I think.
I'm way past impatience now, I know it is still months away so I just dont think about it.
I remember somoen said their dealer told them there would be a batch of aussie cars done in Jan, that is starting to sound about right now.
I still dont expect to see mine before April given shipping times atm.

Haha.. I think I just hit the impatience train sooner.. I remember all those optimistic comments of everyone getting their cars months ago. ?

Thankfully my Type R is a workhorse and is still providing some smiles.

My dealership finally got back to me.

Status is A10 Order transmitted, which seems to mean Toyota have finally accepted my order. New estimated production month is Feb.

my 8AT white is hitting Austrlaia boarder by end of this month, 1 very strange thing I found is it still indicated that the build day is in Sep on the latest contract my dealer send me not too sure but feels like I m buying a half-year old car. Also saw an very nice MT selling at Sydney at 115k ish, anyone knows if there is a chance I can talk to them for a bargain? (would happy to pay couple of Ks more for a right drive away car but 115k is definitly too much)

Remember, they take 3 months in shipping just to get here. They aren't coming from Japan. So any cars that arrive before March, will be a 2022 build.

Also how is everyone getting the status code the only thing I’ve received is an email from Toyota stating that my order has been placed?

They are now just waiting for one in the pipeline to match your request. They don't take true orders. 12 months was realistic not sure about now, but better set the bar low and have it show it earlier.

Yeah, but who cares what the actual build date is as its pretty much irelevant. It's the model year that counts. ?‍

That it's not strange that a car is arriving soon with a build date of September. That it seems correct and nothing to worry about.
