Believe me pal. That was truly Mercedes best era. It will never be toppedThe M119 is a glorious piece of engineering
I don't think any of the "cylindrical type" knobs go flush on any car that has it...if it did, how would one unlock it manually?? Correct me if im wrong, or show me an example.Lol. Gotcha! I believe when it is locked it goes flush though.
This is the interior of the Lexus LC500, if you look closely it is locked and all the way down. Newer cars go flush, Porsche, Audi, VW, Italian cars donāt even have a lock āknobā just the button to unlock and lock the car.I don't think any of the "cylindrical type" knobs go flush on any car that has it...if it did, how would one unlock it manually?? Again, I know the GTR and a few other cars have a rectangular type knob that when locked, and the top get's flush...it can still be manually unlocked. There is a "hook" in the design of the knob to allow a manual unlock. See what I mean:
How does one manually (not electronically) unlock a flush mounted knob like that? I believe those higher end cars are electronically controlled unlocking only no? I donāt think the MKV Supra will have that type of locking mechanism (based on what we see so far)....thatās why Iām saying I donāt think it will be flush when locked. Who knows, that might be pre-production indeed. Only time will tell. This is the interior of the Lexus LC500, if you look closely it is locked and all the way down. Lexus has never used an unlock/lock knob on top of the door like the Germans and some American brands.. They have always used a stylized version of Toyota's very simple lock knob/handle combo ever since the launch of the first LS..How does one manually (not electronically) unlock a flush mounted knob like that? Incorrect. Iāve been in a handful of new lexuses, itās a knob, a small knob that locks and unlocks like Mercedes and BMW. The only ones that arenāt are the old IS, GS, GX, NX. Even the updated LX570 interior has the knobLexus has never used an unlock/lock knob on top of the door like the Germans and some American brands.. the LC 500 merely has an lock indicator light on the door, it isn't a knob
no.....No itās not. Iāve been in a handful of new lexuses, itās a knob, a small knob that locks and unlocks like Mercedes and BMW.
I thought the same too....I could have sworn those were LEDās that would flash to indicate the alarm system active or not.Lexus has never used an unlock/lock knob on top of the door like the Germans and some American brands.. Hereās a BMW f80 M3, if you are completely nit picky itās not entirely āflushā but close lol. I assume the Supra will be similar. no.....
I think I've been in every Lexus model (all gens) except the LFA, never seen one with the knob on the top of the door..
