This is the interior of the Lexus LC500, if you look closely it is locked and all the way down. Newer cars go flush, Porsche, Audi, VW, Italian cars don’t even have a lock “knob” just the button to unlock and lock the car.I don't think any of the "cylindrical type" knobs go flush on any car that has it...if it did, how would one unlock it manually?? Correct me if im wrong, or show me an example.
Again, I know the GTR and a few other cars have a rectangular type knob that when locked, and the top get's flush...it can still be manually unlocked. There is a "hook" in the design of the knob to allow a manual unlock. See what I mean:
