Super comprehensive list. Thank you! ?For me, that had taken the liberty removing the protection vinyl stuff and of washing, which annoyed me.
Check nav for sure.
Check to see if they removed the front suspension spacers.
Pretty much take it for a quick spin. Use every function known to man. Park sensor, dynamic cruise control, brakes, heads up display..
Take 2 seconds and hook it up to your phone.
Check for paint defects
Obviously check if things match with the sticker. If there were things you had wanted and didn't get installed like CF mirror caps, etc.. check those..
Check tire pressure
Check battery level/health. use OBD readers like BimmerLink if you already have it. if not get it now.
Then drive it like you stole it. Cops will love that ?
Congrats & have fun!
Ha! I found out mine was missing the fuse puller when I went to pull that exact fuse (exhaust flap)If you really want to go obsessive compulsive, make sure it comes with the red fuse removal tool circled. It’s on the passenger side rear trunk area. Mine was missing. Thanks to Thraxbert for this photo:

I don’t think 23 comes with the fuse puller. Mine didn’t.Hey all - thank you for the info and detailed items here.
I picked up the Supra last weekend and I love it!
A couple of things:
- My fuse box did not have the tool to remove the fuses. I asked and they said they didn't remove it. Maybe it stopped coming with one?
- I couldn't check for the spacers. Any way that I can do that without removing the wheels?
Thank you again!
I waited for about a month.Op how long did you wait for the car and if you did put a deposit how many people were ahead of you?
Turn the steering wheel very hard to the right to check the left side. Get you a long flat hard screw driver and gently work the rubber shock cover up. It'll take a few moments to get it raised up enough to past the top of the shock house until you see either a white spacer (bad) or the silver rod (good). If it has the spacer then you'll want to take it to dealer to get off. They have a tool that makes quick work of it. Problem is reminding them to do it.I couldn't check for the spacers. Haha. Will definitely read the manual.Turn the steering wheel very hard to the right to check the left side. Get you a long flat hard screw driver and gently work the rubber shock cover up. What else should you do upon delivery? Read the manual. Germans are weird. If you've never owned a german car then you're about to find out. Read the manual. Experience something weird or don't know how to do something. Read the manual.
Very good callout.Make sure to tell them numerous times not to put on a dealer plate.
Years ago, I ordered a car that I waited 2 months for. I explicitly told them numerous times dont wash and dont put on plates when the car arrives. I show up to the dealership, there are 2 holes in the front bumper from where one of the idiot techs drilled into.
** unless of course you want a front plate **
My state requires a front plate too. But it ruins the look of the front end. Haven’t had a front plate in like 8-10 years and have only gotten 1 ticket for it.Very good callout.
The law is to have a front plate where I am, but I asked them not to drill it. I got lucky and they did not. My saleswoman stayed with the car from the truck all the way to the techs finishing the PDI.
