Put a deposit for a MT with Longo in January 2022.

At the time, the sales rep had to first check internally if he could even take my deposit because the model hadn't been announced.

After the official release in April 2022, sales rep told me I was top 5. Sounded fair, I figured there'd be others who had put early deposits and/or VIPs.

October 2022, sales rep tells me "we still keeping your order on the list" and that I'm "top 10 on the list now".

Asked him how could I be top 10 when I was top 5 six months earlier... And that's the last I heard from him.

In the meanwhile I've connected with others here who put their deposit at the same time or later and have gotten cars already.

I kept my deposit in thinking I'd reach out to a superior but eventually decided to just forget it. Got my refund last week, a full 15 months later.

Sorry to hear, that sucks

I've had a similar experience (top 10 then became top 20), but still waiting and running low on patience

Sounds like Toyota dealers have been honey-d**king a few of us. I’ve had deposits at two different dealerships since Aug 2022. Haven’t heard a peep from one of them, and lost a MT Stratosphere at the other to the ‘dealership owner’s friend’. Toyota hasn’t added a Supra to the database in Michigan in months, let alone a manual.

All hype has been lost at this point unfortunately, seriously considering picking up an M2 Competition instead.

Here I am feeling ungrateful for thinking of selling my 2023 MT. I like it, but I just feel for what I paid for it I should have the ability to have Android Auto. That's surprisingly more of a deal breaker for me than I thought.

Will they make enough MTs to meet demand this year? I've been waiting since May 2022. The Rocky Mountain region has only had a handful of MT available so far. The lists are long and the year is half way over. ?

May be a good thing. Early on the list for 24 and get the upgrades.

I was very surprised at the complete lack of allocations in Colorado for the last 8 months

Out of curiosity I checked local incoming on the Toyota website and it is a fraction of what it was showing back in January when mine came in.

Back then local market showed double digits incoming, somewhere around 12 to 15 cars. Now it shows 4.

You have to extend the search range to like 500 miles (which draws in Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, etc.) and just to see a decent selection.

My assumption is that the 2023 model year is probably finished or in the final stages of closing out, and what we might be seeing are the last vehicles arriving to their regions. I started my search back in June of 2022 (coming up on a year ago now) and the super scant selection feels eerily similar to then.

Just FYI I had to go out of state to get an allocation. For a car like this, if you really really want one ASAP, you really need to widen your search range to 500 miles. Of course I don't know your personal situation but obviously doing so will increase your chances. If it helps, what I did was widen the search to 500 miles and checked Toyota's inventory website daily and called every dealer as soon as an allocation showed up on that search to see if it was spoken for. One day, got lucky and got one that was available. Waiting for delivery any day now~
Good luck on your search!

Are you still waiting, or did you finally get one?

Unable to find an allocation in any part of California. Some dealers say they only service people in their area. Called out of state dealers which 1. Don’t ship out of state 2. Have a 5-10k markup if you’re from SoCal like me.

Unbelievable
