I think the biggest complaint about the A90 (other than the obvious loss of a manual), was the supposed “lack” of involvement from Toyota. It’s been called the Zupra...Re-skinned Z4, sharing the same components and engineering with the Z4. Everybody has argued that this shouldn’t even be referred to as a Supra. What could have possibly changed the minds of those who were against it for the reasons above?

The plot thickens and I need answers!

Nah... it will definitely have to be something a lot bigger than just offering a manual to get people to sell their mkiv's. I'm thinking more along the lines of an actual proper tunable motor (or different motor altogether in a Gazoo car), lightweight (3100lbs) and possibly offering a barebones edition car for enthusiasts. These are my opinions though, so not worth much . I just seriously doubt someone would sell their car for a BMW Supra because it's coming in a manual, seems absurd to me

Not a believer just yet. With the stats of the A90, I am comparing whether or not I should keep my A80.
Why would you sell your A80 anyways? Keep it fool! ;)

My wording is bad, but you and Performance ate on the skeptic side of this car and obviously when one went from on the fence to breaking open the wallet, even the skeptics have to wonder what happened.

The skeptic was Performance in this case and I wonder if this is going to surprise us all beyond belief

We may be skeptic, but we want the best our money can have and being that it far succeeds what the A80 has been. We are skeptic because we want "value" for our money. Why should we invest in this car when there are many cars within its price range that far exceeds what the supra offers from a statistic point of view? We have "sports cars" that you can spend $60,000 that we can get a lot of value out of, but from this standpoint (based off this b58) i just dont see it.
Of course skeptics have to wonder what may be offered. I genuinely am curious what this supra entails because I intend to buy it (or the nsx/LCF) as my next project car.

And that's the point, I am aware of your stance and performance, we've heard it loud and clear. But now only curiosity fills me when the value minded consumer who was against the supra is not afraid to throw money at it, so what made the rightful skeptic a believer?

This little guy that appeared on my shoulder and whispered some "things" in my ear:

The_Great_Gazoo.webp

Wow! What are they putting into this thing? A secret developed V8 TT that is going in the LCF and decided to put into the Supra? :):headbang:

If I break into the Toyota headquarters in Plano (which is 2 mins where I live) will I find out the info?? Lol
Plano???? Pffft....I would think the real juicy stuff would be in the hands of the software engineers in Ann Arbor :D.
