Yeaaaah it’s gonna be some super cool Gazoo Racing Supra that the US won’t get. Thus, ultimately why A70 set his allocation for Japan. Haha

I hear ya. I need to visit and experience Japan. Going there is definitely on my bucket list.I wasn't implying you did

jokes aside, the US has essentially not received any of the existing GR stuff as of yet, aside from heavily watered down TRD stuff. so, it's really just hedging my bet more on Japan, but I'd also rather drive this car around there and enjoy it.
Plot twist. The US is getting their first ever GR Toyota in a few years.Close...

Who said anything about BMW reliability? To break the internet, there would have to be a radical shift in performance/price point. Right now, it's laughably bad. 50-60k for 370z performance and BMW reliability, only available in auto is DOA.
.
95% BMW sourced parts, built with BMW manufacturing processes, on a BMW (magna aka shit tier) line.Who said anything about BMW reliability?
Magna isn't strictly BMW95% BMW sourced parts, built with BMW manufacturing processes, on a BMW (magna aka shit tier) line.
Yeah, nevermind. This car will magically have Toyota reliability just because they had a hand in choosing which BMW parts bin parts should be used and slapped a Toyota logo on.
Magna is a trash facility. Look up what has come out of there...Magna isn't strictly BMW
Tada said it wasn't easy, but he got the engine to meet his standards
Tell me about it,my brother's E46(pre facelift) left us stranded in Santa Fe Springs because it blew its radiator, we had to hitch a ride on a 2015 Civic SI to get backMagna is trash for reliability.
An engine is only one part of the reliability equation. The N55 in my BMW, on it's own, is stout. All the electronics, engine accessories, cooling system, suspension, etc etc ... Not so much.
Yeah, it's great that the engine "met tadas standards," but that won't save you from your non-functional Supra stranding you on the side of the road because the radiator blew or your wheel bearings went out, or your ecu shorted out.
No it won't. Even if the MKV is a sales hit, they probably won't sell 200K of them to the US market during it's entire production life. Now if they goofed up with the Corolla or Camry... that's a whole different story. This project will single handedly destroy Toyotas reliability reputation.

Premiere car? Best of the best? The Supra never has been, nor ever will be Toyota's flagship vehicle. Maybe to us sports car guys it feels that way, but that doesn't make it so. You have to look at the Toyota Century or Lexus LS for their "premiere car".It won't have high volume, but the fact that their premier car, that everyone has been pining for is a pos... Much more damaging that your best of the best car, will leave you stranded.
