I knew about Jackie Ding and I've always been an AMS fan from the outside. JW if anyone out there is running this as a daily driven street car and if it's tasteful or is it too much. I'm currently stock turbo catless DP intake charge pipe about to get an e50 tune. The car already is amazing to me lol

I currently have a KLM kit with the PTE6870 on order a couple weeks ago and am now playing the waiting game. Went with a CTS last year and I have had two of them burning oil. They are cheap CHRA's.

What are the pros/cons to going top mount vs bottom? Is one generally considered better than the other, or is it a personal preference kinda thing?

Bottom - more OEM, keeps you closer to factory if you want to switch back. Still gives you a lot of power given enough fuel. More toasty down there though and you’ll be limited due to space preventing massive gains.

Top - moves you away from OEM (have to reroute etc). Gives you the most power (big boi gains) if you have enough fuel for it. Better temperature dynamics for your big snail. Overall it’s the better performer.

Have to decide if you want OEM+ or a truly built up/after market monster.

Side note: if any of you have a built Supra in Texas - please get the license plate “GAPZLLA” I’m too slow for it.

Are there issues with heat burning the hood and causing paint discoloration, or did I read that wrong? Pretty sure I read on here that having the paint on the hood discolor was a problem with top mount kits.

It’s true of a lot of top mounts out there. Snail blankets seem to help but @zrk our newest member probably could speak more to that

You’ve got it backwards. Bottom mount > top mount.

You say that, but lemme know how installing that hard oil line goes. ;)

It's a good kit but there's def room for improvement there.
@zrk - which top mount kit do you think has the best quality / fitment / design / ease of install / complete parts list ?
