I don't have any real regrets with this car. I wish I had more patience in installing the thic whips. I was over confident from the rear badge and was a tad aggressive on the front and didn't consider the PPF. Wish maybe my side reflector delete on driver side front or the spoiler on driver side back stuck a little better than they do. But none of this is really regrets.

On my previous car on the other hand, I learned a few valuable lessons. Never "improve" something that you yourself don't notice. Stiffen the suspension of a car you never really get up to the limit. Go with big breaks and you never really run hard enough long enough to notice any sort of brake fade on OEM. If you have a problem THEN other's experiences are a good guide for a solution. If you don't have a problem then you don't have a problem regardless of what others report. Maybe you don't run hard enough, have a sophisticated enough butt dyno, or the others are just full of s***.

Oh ok I hear ya, they just don't offer an A91 style wing other than Rexpeed's. Hopefully someone else will come out with a rep that actually fits properly.

They used to it was called the omega but i think they sell the alphas way more so they discounted it. You can reach out to them

  1. 777 Door pulls - Too janky
  2. Not installing all the SPL stuff when I had it. I should have sucked it up and dropped the subframe.
  3. Buying anything from EastCoastSupra or Rexspeed. Hot garbage.
  4. Buying EVS fenders assuming they would just fit.
Did you buy the EVS fenders off of Eastcoast Supra lol?

I really want those, and not looking forward to them not fitting after I paint match them

I'm in the same boat as you. I don't want to bash Rexpeed because I've gotten good stuff from them before. But I purchased their A91 rep wing and it did not fit well. The drivers side edge of the wing does not sit flush. So I contacted them about it and their customer service was great, they got me a replacement right away. Only thing was, the replacement was 10x worse ? . I should have just went with an OEM one from toyota, just don't want to spend the ridiculous $1000 that it costs.
Got my wing on wing off of Ebay and it fit perfect!

Anything CF related I get from Ebay, you'd be surprised how many of these 3rd party sellers get their stuff from China.

I’ve never heard of a bed in issue causing a rotor to rip itself in half
True, it shouldn’t do that. Looking back closer at the pic, I see what you were talking about. I thought it was a 2 piece rotor set & showing us the rotor all scratched up. You think race pads could tear up the rotors like that? Perhaps defective rotors? The only two piece rotors I’ve ever owned were this OEM Supra. They did great with my race pads. And now back to a one piece rotor.

Honestly- depends on the day.

Owning a highish HP car is a huge pain in the ass, especially trying to make it streetable. There are a ton of "weird" problems you deal with over 1000hp. Weird trans shit, weird tune shit, driving around with a parachute on it, maintenance expenses, etc. It's hard. These cars absolutely thrive around 700hp. They love it, and take it over and over.

On the other hand, I wish I would have skipped all of the pussyfooting around and just done it. I'm on my 3rd turbo upgrade, I danced through different Pure transmission stages, bought "street" wheels for a while to pretend like it wasn't a 1000hp car, lots of shit.

In either case, I wish I could have taken different paths- but that 1.2x 60' and 8.x quarter mile is pretty fucking fun.
I would find it extremely annoying having to reset the parachute at every stoplight.

The difference between stock and E50 is enormous. If you can’t feel a difference then it sounds like something is off.
Nothing mechanical was off. I drove to Denver on the way back across country and had Payn tune the car. Same fuel in and out; night and day difference in power.

John does fantastic R&D but the man is super busy and never got tuning done in a time that worked for both of us. I'll just leave it at that.

Ugh, not what I wanted to read. Mine are finally going on in a few weeks. Hope they fit okay-ish.

Endless MX72 brake pads - they don’t grab well on the street, they start to fade very quickly when they get warm, and when I took them to the track they faded hard after the first ~2 laps and ended up destroying my rotors by the end of the day.
Pads of choice besides CSG?

I like Hawk DTC pads if you can find them. Project Mu another popular track pad for our car
