Wrong way around IMO. The Supra is the sportscar, so it should have the faster, better transmission. Let's face it, BMW isn't known for making good manuals. I thought it was rubbery and sloshy. The ZF8 Supra is just better.

The Jeep is already slow, with spongy suspension and mushy brakes, unless we're talking trackhawk or something, so having that with a manual makes no difference.
The Jeep is the mall crawler. The 6MT is my performance car. Not sure how that escaped you.

It didn't. That's why the performance car should have the performance transmission.... the ZF8.
Slushbox belongs on the mushy vehicle. It's literally a perfect match. Like I said earlier, I love the ZF8 in my Jeep. It's perfect.

Give me a short ratio 6MT in a sports car every day of the week and twice on Sunday. ?

Hahaha.. did you write that yourself? Not sure how insulting and attacking anybody personally helps your argument - It just makes you you look stupid, but you do you.

Toodles.

That sort of common sense is not wanted here. ? Imagine wanting an NPC transmission in your sports car.

Strange days!
Only the best for me. Others can do with torque converters if that's what makes them smile.

I’m the same with my MX5 - 6 speed MT. I happen to like it for in town driving/work commutes. Longer drives, like the wife’s GTi dual clutch in auto mode and for those dynoMight weekend track days, the Supra ZF in manual mode. That’s a lot of weird combos but it’s how I like em served ?️

Sigh... If only the Z was a remotely competitive car, then we'd have something else to argue endlessly about. This is what happens when there's no directly competing product within a certain space.

It's kinda rare that there's so much owner discord amongst slightly different versions of the same thing, as it's normally two different companies and/or products that sew such animosity. I hope we can get over ourselves someday, because the when you look back, one thing that has a large influence on the appeal of any performance vehicle, is to what level of insufferable schmucks its owner base is.
