I just turned 38, and weird things are happening...because I now also think the Z4 MT seems like an awesome option. Once again, the MT (& Sport package) option changes everything about the car in my eyes.
Yep, as much as I want a Porsche and my Emira coming in this month is tempting, I just love the supra and the platform, and being that my whole business surrounds this community I feel like this is a great step in the right direction, I keep a "supra" its manual, top goes down, and I can finally have a decent sound system. plus in the mid 70's price range, there really is nothing else comparable. Boxter GTS 4.0 is going to be 115k specced the way I would take it, the Emira is 110 now, mine is 95 due to old msrp but still 20k more. I think this the move for me.

Probably the best deal in BMW lineup is the Z4 m40i, frankly, with M340i as a close second. People really don't know how incredible the B58 really is.

The G29 is just kinda fugly and meh for me. The addition of a manual really doesn't do much for me personally.

If it was the shooting brake with a stick, I'm dumping the Supra ASAP Rocky.

I like the wheels and the butt.. and if it really is $70k, price point too.

Not sure I would replace my Supra for it, but would make a nice garage mate for my GR.. :dunno:

The B58 powered Z4 costs over $150,000AUD here which is equivalent to around $100,000USD!
Well yeah, everything costs more in prison

that is my one gripe holding me back, the supra is such a pretty and special looking car, the G29 just does not have the curb appeal so to speak that the supra does, I dont understand why toyota won't just give us a targa top, S58 this S58 that, GRMN etc, no, just give me a 6spd and some fresh air and I will be happy.

The wind buffeting in my Supra has given me so much brain damage, I no longer desire open air motoring, or anything else for that matter. I also eat through a straw now and wear a bicycle helmet 24/7.

For real though. I’d love a targa MKV.

I put AMS wind buffetting kit on my car by like day 3 of ownership, and haven't given it a single thought since. It was $100 and looks OEM. There are many other options, cheaper too.

Not an excuse for toyota, but it is such an easy fix.

I should have mentioned in my brain damaged post: I've got a kit (the $80 eBay one). Just haven't installed it yet.

Yeah, there's no comparison in the styling department. Z4 looks like Porky Pig compared to the Supra

I hope Toyota will continue the partnership with BMW; they also have a GT4 race car which is long in the tooth and needs BoP upgrades to stay competitive with other cup cars.

How long have you been dealing with that brain damage? I owned my car for all of four days before I did the wind buffet fix.

Tough to tell because of said brain damage :p

I picked up the car the last day of September. I've just been rolling the windows half way down. Which isn't often especially now that it's colder out.

I really don't care that much about the buffeting. Original post was just a bad dad joke attempt. I'll remember to install the fix one of these days after washing the car.
