Tada has been referring to it as the new Supra as early as last spring (more or less officially in company circles), so yeah it was pretty much a done deal a long time ago. It was fun to watch people argue about it though, and I'm sure others within Toyota debated the same thing.

Akio and Tada already had their minds made up however.

@Guff will be attending the Detroit Auto Show for the world debut of the next Toyota Supra! He said he will try to get an interview with a Toyota representative. So I was thinking, we as a forum should come up with a list for him. If anyone has any good realisitic and reasonable question, please be sure to post it.

1) Is any manual transmission option going to be available an if so, on which trim levels? And how soon?
2) Is an LSD standard on all trim levels or just specific optional ones?
3) To what degree can the traction and stability control be turned off? Can both be turned completely off? And is it the same for all trim levels or just specific ones that would allow full-off capability?
4) Are the large brakes standard across the range or are the only available on the I6 Turbo GR models? If not standard for all, will there be an option package for the big brakes on the four cylinder models?
5) Do all the inline-six Supras come with cylinder heads that have traditional individual exhaust ports? IE: do any I6 turbo Supras come with cylinder heads that have integrated exhaust manifolds?
6) When can we expect the Supra GRMN/TRD model, will there be enough made so as not to make them stupidly scarce and will any of them come with a 6-speed manual option?

And a serious question I want asked from as many Toyota employees as possible....

Is Toyota going to pull their head out of their ass and give Turn 10 Studios and the Forza franchise back the Toyota car license??? I'm quite sure there is some back door deal at play with Sony here on this as the FT1 was in Gran Turismo Sport almost a year ago, but this exclusive license crap only hurts the fans of your brand. I want all my Toyotas back and I want to drive the new Supra ASAP. Not everyone bought a PS4 or even a console, the Forza Franchise is on PC now too.

Yup, they pulled their cars from 2 major series on 2 major platforms just to give the Japanese home team an advantage. Porsche did that in Forza Motorsport 6 and quickly realized their mistake and corrected it with an all Porsche expansion. Let's hope Toyota figures it out too... they are the only major manufacturer missing from it right now.

When the car was in its planning stages, what is something you didn't expect to come to be a reality? Examples are feel, seat height, specs, turning, piwer etc...
