Mhd unlocker error

Anyone had this error before?

• Firmware versions: (1.30 vs 1.29)
• Unlocker Connected (0/50 @ E4 65 B8 80 26 D8 )
• DME is not ready, please wait ...

Connection errors have been detected
Please double-check both of the DME connectors
Once confirmed, power cycle the Unlocker by disconnecting and reconnecting the alligator clamps


i made sure connectors are in place and reconnected the alligator clamps as stated above
Still same error

I had no issues with mine so can’t really help.. Only thing I can think of is do you have the port 5 connector the right way around? (I seem to remember it’s the opposite way around to what you might think)

yes, port 5 connects the other way around. And both ports firmly connected. I can lift the ecu with them still holding

i didn’t use trickle charger. But my battery is new
And it’s new unlocker i just got

I would try charging the battery either with a trickle charger or just by running the car and attempt again.

Ran the car for some time then tried again. No luck
Im starting to think its just a faulty unlocker. Waiting for reply from bimecu

there was an issue with the unlocker box itself. They walked through opening it and fixing it.

could you maybe explain in more detail as to what exactly they had you do so that other people that experience similar issues can trouble shoot?
