I would love some feedback, I just did my first data log. I accidentally skipped the map 1 and went straight to map 2. Here’s my datazap link! Any feedback would be amazing. Thanks everybody

https://datazap.me/u/jakehayes08/log-1720660459?log=0&data=1-4

mods done:
forge motorsports chargepipe
Burger tuning air intake.. that it
Pretty bone stock. Other then a bunch of cosmetic stuff such as lowering springs etc etc

Timings kind of weak. What fuel are you on?

My rec would be to update your firmware to 22 or 23, then send over a Map 1 log

Highly recommend 2-3 gal of E85 into a full tank 91 if you have it available. No flex fuel kit needed.

Stick with Map 1 and make these changes:

duty bias:

duty_15duty_20duty_25duty_30duty_35duty_40duty_45duty_50duty_55duty_60duty_65duty_70

and change FF to 40.

Lets see a 2500-6500 log in 3rd gear with those changes

Im pretty dumb when it comes to this how do I edit map 1 or copy map 1 to map 6 to edit?
You don't have to switch to map 6. The settings I gave you apply to any map, including map 1.

there is no way to copy map 1 to map 6 to edit, but here are Map 6 targets that are basically identical to map 1 if you want to "edit map 1 boost":

Thanks for all the great info covered in this thread! And I am now looking for some insight -

Been reading through most of these threads for a while now and finally got an Ethanol sensor (Fuel-it) and looking for feedback

I did some logging today and accidentally screwed up as the local ethanol station (ohio) had a pretty big range of ethanol on the pump. Thought I figured out the e-content at the pump but unfortunately was off and ended up running e35-39 when I was targeting closer to e25-30. However based on conversations above, it sounds like my trims were not maxed.

I am trying to data log to figure out better settings for map 6, which I want to use as my e25-30 map. In doing so I logged my 93 octane map 4 and then logged e35-39. Could anybody provide insights?

e35 &e39 logs (3 logs): https://datazap.me/u/nohsupra/e35-e39?log=0&data=1-2-3-4-8-9-15-20

93 octane logs(2 logs): https://datazap.me/u/nohsupra/log-1721934110?log=0&data=1-2-3-4-8-9-15-20

Try out this additive map 6 instead:

map6_15map6_20map6_25map6_30map6_35map6_40map6_45map6_50map6_55map6_60map6_65map6_70

nothing bad in your logs, but the problem is that, in most of your logs, boost is about the same as ecu_psi. this means the JB4 is hardly adding power, if any. JB4 makes all the power from the difference between these parameters.

I prefer using additive on most cars to mitigate this issue, but there is still adjustment needed. The goal is to have ecu_psi sitting around 13-16psi for most of the pull, so FF needs to be dropped until it is in that range. Consider enabling Bit 1 to prevent FF from auto-adjusting. If ecu_psi is >16 psi, it will start running lower base timing and you will lose power. This is all assuming reasonable IATs.

With this additive map, you should be seeing Boost around 17-20 psi, maybe a bit higher in hot temps.

Think of it this way - this is useful to anyone reading this thread:

The B58 is load(torque) targeting. It will use boost and timing advance to achieve the load requested by the stock tune.

If the JB4 transmits 19-20psi (ecu_psi) to the ECU and actual boost is 19-20psi, it will only run as much timing as needed to hit stock tune load, and your car won't be any faster than stock.

If the JB4 is transmitting 15-16psi (ecu_psi) to the ECU, and the actual boost is 19-20psi, the car will still run the timing advance associated with 15-16psi and the car will be more powerful than stock.

In hot temps, the car will reduce base timing advance to prevent knock. Therefore, to maintain the same torque, it will run higher boost to compensate.

@ColonelAdama

Tried them out and recorded 4 pulls. The first has a pretty low IAT.
Just me looking at them noticed timing looks off on the second pull? Also is it normal for the throttle to break up that much? It also looks like my FF and WGDC are inverse to what I have seen on some others logs?

Let me know what you think!
This was with e30 on the dot
