Has anyone tried this out? I’m thinking of getting a 285/40/R19 tire for the stock rear wheel. Will it fit? Or would it rub too much.

my bad. yeah, stock 23s, and it was on 15mm spacers
Having trouble visualizing how your tire hits the rock guards? The spacers just move the wheel/tire out. To hit the rock guards the tire would need to move back. And by A LOT. If you tire hits the rock guards it seems like it would be hitting all the way around and doing major damage to everywhere. And a 285/35 versus 275/35 tire difference is insignificant. What am I missing??

295/35 on Whiteline and I’ve somehow got away with having rock guards. No way a 285/40 fits correctly.

they broke from either the everlasting construction on Coral Gables roads or from track & autoX use

the ZL1 rock guards curve down a bit at the bottom

i would point finger to maybe an improper install but.. c'mon.. that's unlikely lol

edit: so i got curious.. looked up old pics. on my first supra, ZL1 guards, 275s rear. no curve, but quite a bit of wear at the bottom. maybe has nothing to do with tires, just bad road conditions lol. sorry!

285/35/19 in the rear, albeit in 19x10.5 +32 wheel sizing. Lowered on Eibach NA Springs which are 0.8" Drop in the rear for MT cars, zero rubbing issues
