I wanted to share a fix for the chassis stabilization and rear differential lock issue that I’ve seen some people have. I started having issues about 100 miles ago where it was intermittent but all of a sudden it was constant. First thing I did was get an alignment to see if that would fix it but of course it was still on. Tried a couple different scan tools that could read the codes but couldn’t delete them. After that I decided to get techstream and Toyota ista. Ran the codes then did eps steering test and adjustment of the driving dynamic sensors. Problem solved. Cost me about $100 dollars. If you include the alignment $250.

It’s worth a try if you run into the issue. Could save you money and a trip to a shop. Hopefully this helps someone else out in the future

Thank you! But this is interesting. So it's Toyota and not BMW software? I would think the latter.

from my understanding it’s bmw software specifically for the Supra. It also requires Toyota software to be used

You’ll get a message on the head unit and dash but no check engine light. Steering will be a little tougher, cruise control will be disabled, and you cant turn off traction control. I’m not sure if it puts you in limp mode or not but it didn’t feel like there was a loss of power to me

Thanks guys. Good to know. I generally use my BMW tech for work (I've got 3 BMWs in my garage with the Supra), so I'll give him a heads up next time I go rolling into his shop. If he didn't already know.

You need to have techstream installed to use ISTA. It's a slightly tweaked toyota version of ISTA.
