No idea what route to take, or if a tune is even worth it since I'm limited to 91 Oct fuel.
I can do Femto Unlock + MHD Tune which I wanna say would be about $1800-$2000.
Or I can do a JB4 + Custom Tune which would be about $1,300. Either way I go, or even if I don't get a tune, I do want to get the xHP Transmission Tune.

Want second thoughts/opinions.
Anyone here running one of these tunes while limited to 91 oct? Are the gains noticeable/worth it?
Is it worth it to splurge on a tune despite being limited to 91 oct?
I only ever drive in Sport mode, will xHP still be worth it?

My current mod list:
Paint Matched Front Reflectors
Lightweight Front/Rear Spacers
AA Catted Downpipe
Black Exhaust Tips
Custom Steering Wheel (Ordered)
Front/Rear Sway Bars (Ordered)
MST v2 Intake (Ordered)
Verus Heat Shield (Ordered)
Torque Solution Engine Bay Strut Brace (Ordered)

I'd rather not buy anymore parts for a while, I'd want the tune/s to be the last things I buy for the car for a long time.

Not planning on doing any sort of tracking with the vehicle, strictly for the street/daily driving.

Most guys will do custom fuel if you really want to see significant HP gains. There are plenty threads on mixed fuel, ethanol, meth, etc. And how to properly manage it.

You will not gain anything on JB4 with 91 octane.

Your only option is femto + MHD.

I am on the same boat as you with 91 octane. I am currently FBO, meth and flex on BM3 w/ custom tune from HTE Performance. I also have a Remnant Omega 65 turbo on the way. Going flex was probably the biggest jump in performance for me. Without some sort of fueling upgrade, I am afraid you might not be able to maximize the potential of the Supra.

Yea I just wouldn’t be very interested in doing all of that just for a daily driver. If this was for the track I’d be okay splurging on all of that. I really wanna just keep it simple and be able to just fuel up with pump gas, I suppose it may not be worth to tune. Though I’m not looking for any crazy gains, just wanna get to about 430-450~ (not sure if that’s considered a lot or not)

Have you tried JB4 on 91 oct? I think I remember you mentioning you were on 91 oct too on a different thread.

Here is a dyno sheet for the JB4 on 91 octane.

I don't get the folks that make up crap about the JB4 not making any gains. It's a night/day difference even between Map0 and Map1. It's an easy install too, can't screw it up unless

You're in California - Don't touch your ECU/DME. During emissions testing the state verifies the checksum and even if you return it back to stock you might not be able to pass unless you take the car to your lovely Toyota dealer and have the car completely flashed back to stock.

Do your JB4 so you can pull it all off and return it to stock if needed for your Orwellian Emissions tests.

MG Flasher apparently does not change CVN, but not many, if any, people have it

If you use the Mission Unlocker you can grab a .bin file of your original 100% OEM DME file.

Perhaps the 2020 2 port models do gain something from JB4/JB+ on pump gas because they have lower compression and possibly different AFR targets as well.

The 6 port engines have higher compression and run at lambda, so any additional boost does not result in more power unless there is something in the mix to prevent detonation.
