turning auto while driving in the morning is fine, however, while trying to turn off auto at night while going over 20km/ph is not possible. is there a secret code in the bimmercode app where i can turn this safety feature off? its been annoying for a while.

im talking about the auto light on feature, when driving over 20km/ph at night specifically, the car doesn’t allow you to turn off the dipped beams and if u try to a message will pop up saying that ā€œauto lights cannot be turned off while drivingā€. i was just wondering if there is a way to disable this feature.

Here in the States it means your rear taillights would be out. Thus, against the law. Someone can’t see ya until it’s too late - hit your brakes and bam ?

So, you don’t want to go dark to run from the cops. Great! But you do want to drive at night without adequate headlights? Just as dumb and nearly as dangerous. Instead of some running into you because they can’t see you you want to hit someone else because you can’t see them? Are you stupid?

I dont live in America. We have lit up highways. I dont want to blind the person driving in front of me.

If your daytime running lights are blinding anyone, they are misaligned. No one should even notice. Check out my little thumbnail pic ?

Im not saying the DRL is blinding, im saying that the dipped beam could be pretty bright.
I was just looking for a way to turn off the dipped beam while driving over 20km/ph.

Are you talking about your entire headlights, or just the auto-high beam feature?

I do agree that auto-high beam sucks on cars. Sometimes the feature doesn’t quite work like it should and high beams oncoming traffic for an additional 4-5 seconds before going back off?

Dipped beam is the ROW term for low beam. He wants to be able to run DRL-only at speed. That’d also turn off your rear running/tail lights unless you code those to always be on.

Coding your low / dipped beam lights to be able to be turned off at speed is wholly unnneccesary and dangerous - hence there’s no one here who knows how or seems to want to help.

Not a Corvette.

I have rear tailights coded to DRL. So they are on when my headlights are not.
