Sticker is always supposed to be closer to the engine/heavier side of the car.

Honestly it doesn't matter that much to us (probably more of a concern with trucks and other vehicles with significantly different weight distribution)

It just kinda happens, but only when you read every word of the manual.

Not trying to be an ass. Honest curiosity. I can’t find any reference to this in my manual. Just says in like 5 places, in bold, that the locks must be outside. Now, when I use mine for my Daughter’s truck, using common sense I place them as far forward as possible since the center of gravity is closer to the front.

Still not seeing it. Re-read p 39-41. My version is J5 (Jan 2020). Also pulled up on QuickJack site, version Oct 2021, which is the same as my version on those pages…

That works. It’s funny, I set mine up this way anyhow. Not for any reason than that’s how it was the first time and I just keep doing it that way!

?. Mystery solved. It’s not in the older versions. And no idea why the older 2021 version came up when I went to their site.

I’d say common sense would tell you not to have the heavier end balancing on a fulcrum while it’s being raised, and thus 50/50 weight would mean it didn’t matter. But agree fully with safety catches on the outside. I’ve seen it the other way and it makes me wonder how they’ve managed to live as long as they have.
