What stage? In my app I just checked stage 1, 2 and 3 and none of the dates and version numbers line up. When you go to flash, one of the popup questions is which version, thats where you'd select 1.0, or 1.1, I've always gone with the latest one.

Stage 2.0, the only option I have is 1.0. The date shows up when I hit Flash and it asks to select the version.

Maybe it's because I have a different engine code—it's a 2024. I've re-downloaded the maps, but I still only see version 1.0 on mine.

I guess that’s my problem. I created the account with the same email address but was never prompted for a vin or any car info and I don’t see how to add that until I connect to the dongle.

If I remember correctly what i had to do was connect to the car with the dongle and open the xHP app. Once I saw the car in the app(might have to select first), I disconnected from car and connected to internet and then I was able to activate the license using the code they sent. Then i was able to reconnect to car and start flashing.

Also automatic IP config mode worked better for me with the xHP dongle, was having issues when manually setting the IP.

That’s probably what it is. I see one version from May 2022 and one from May 2023. You should be all good on your current version

I was worried about that as well. I didn’t do it either. Fortunately @Ruman told me not to worry about it. He had me do all the steps @Xproplayer mentioned above and he was patient as hell. I was freaking out inside because it wasn’t connecting and other little issues would come up (that I wouldn’t have known what to do). It was no big deal to him. I had the xHP brand dongle in the OBD port, windows up, seat belt on, diag mode, airplane mode on the phone. Ruman did some steps on my iPhone, turned off CarPlay, and made sure the IP address was correct (for some reason).

If it still doesn’t “work”, I would recommend having someone that is tech/phone (iOS in my case) savvy. He made it look easy.

I have to turn off WiFi and pull the dongle out and put it back and the WiFi will show up for a while and it will show “unsecured network” (so it seems to see it) while it is trying to connect but just doesn’t make a connection.

I was able to get the licensing to work so the car shows up but that was with an Ethernet connection but it won’t let me flash that way. I did get what I thought was a bootmod3 adapter it wasn’t really made by bootmod. But the WiFi connected to it right away but it’s not close enough to a real one for xHP to work. Bm3 now works if you flash the latest firmware to the adapter but it won’t on this one.

I can’t believe how “easy” this process is.

The map version numbers are going to differ from car to car, as there are different hardware variations and each requires its own unique version of the map, even if it’s only tweaked slightly.

Just flashed my 330i ZF trans with XHP using my Thor adapter, which I also used on my Supra. Zero issues. Worked the first time, both times.

Returning the dongle i just got and ordered the Thor.

Get the MHD universal one. It literally works for everything and has zero compatibility or connectivity issues.

So I got the Thor dongle and initially was having the same issue - crap. I decided to disable my mesh network and then it connected and I was able to flash the tranny (I’ll need to check into that and make sure I don’t also have a hacking issue).

I don’t have vpn setup anymore so it wasn’t related to that. So if anyone has this issue and has a mesh network I would check that out too.

Agree. Only thing I have to do with my MHD dongle is turn off apple CarPlay for the Supra in my phone’s General Settings.
