What size tire can I run?

Hi all! I need new rear tires. Currently on 275 PS4S rear, 255 PS4S front (they still have a lot of life) on H&R lowering springs 13mm spacers in the front and 15mm spacers in the rear. I've seen a mix of people say that it is NOT okay and it IS okay to mix match tires. Are nitto555r2's worth it for just the rear? I've seen mixed reviews about them. How is the fitment with 305/35/R19 in the rear on these springs? I'm e50 catless dp tune making about 470-490 hp so I need the grip as much as possible lol. Thanks in advanced!

I've seen quite a few mix the G2's in the front with the RII's in the rear.

I just don't trust the RII's for dd as they don't like cold or wet weather. Maybe do the G2's all around? Sounds like a good option for you guys down in FL.

Mix and matching front/rear is A-OK I've done it a million times in a million scenarios in a million different (2WD) cars.

The real question: What kind of scenarios will you be driving the car in? Street? Track? What kind of climate? Road conditions? Etc.

Personally, I recommend a really good and sticky all season. Because it's not the lack of optimal grip in ideal road conditions that causes crashes, it's the lack of optimal grip in shitty road conditions that causes crashes, and that's why I run all seasons on all my street cars no matter the actual season (especially here in Texas).

You can mix tires. If you get the nt555r2 on the stock wheels go with the 285/35/19 those will fit on an 10inch wheel, and it’s a huge upgrade in grip.

Ive been happy with them. Ran them with the 255 PSS for a while then got nitto G2s for the front. The r2s are fine in the rain also just have to be more careful than with the Michelin summers. Looks like you’re in FL also so I think it’s a good choice.

I’m still on stock fronts and 285/35/19 in the rear nitto 555R2. Dp, port and E and it’s just fine for rolls.

Street, high heat climate 90% of the year I live in Florida. I've been lookin at the G2's that might be the move for me for now since we are about to be in the hot weather conditions in Florida but i agree that all season tires are the way to go thank you my brotha!

You haven’t seen him angry yet ?

It‘s funny, on these massive forums, I stopped typing “brotha.” Friendly southern term, which you might mean no harm no foul, we’re on the same team, etc. Different strokes for different folks. But that’s hard to interpret on the internet, not in person. So I tone down some of my normal lingo best I can and try to keep it short. I obviously still suck at it. Hahahahaha…. work in progress

Recommendation before starting a thread, search on the forum 1st. If you can find it, state that in the question. You’ll see a lot of repeat threads where something like this has been covered extensively.

Back to your new Supra ownership, congrats! She’s still as much fun to drive as the day I got her or perhaps even more!! Hope you end up enjoying it as much as the majority of us do ??

I wouldn’t recommend all seasons on a sports car in Florida. If you’re driving the few times it’s sub 50 degrees just have to take it easy.
