We're excited to show you our 2018-19 Toyota Supra renderings as we attempt to digitally peel back the camouflage from the next-generation Toyota Supra prototypes that have been spied recently wearing production-intent design and parts.

Our renderings put sheetmetal on a vehicle that clearly has taken design influence from the Toyota FT-1 concept while greatly modernizing the traditional Supra cues -- from the large front air intakes, sleek and menacing headlights to the tapered, angular rear end, this rendition shows an ultra-sporty 2018/2019 Toyota Supra that would leverage the highly popular FT-1 concept in a more production capable package.

Check out the comparisons to the spy photos and let us know your thoughts!

I like it, but I kinda hope they tone down the "nose" a touch more like the jalopnik rendering did. Also hope they add a rear side brake duct vent

This makes Jalopniks rendering look like crap. Love it! :hmm:

Fantastic work. I think based on the spy shots, these are as close to what the final car will look like as is possible to determine.

One of my biggest curiosities is the roof. Will it have a sunroof or a targa top? The double bubble makes me doubt the sunroof but maybe the targa will happen. Apparently both were offered on the past Supras, so there's hope.

Thanks for the renders!!

not bad!

x2, i still think there will be an air vent in front of the rear wheels. the latest spy shots shows there is a panel by the door area to hide something.

Definitely looks accurate right next to the spy pics these are based on. I just hope that bumper air intakes aren't shaped like that and that's heavy bumper camo on the prototypes designed to throw us off on the actual shape underneath.

why? the nose is what gives it its flair..the FT1 is beautiful, any toning down will just bit a letdown especially after the LC...

admittedly these renders look ok and do closely follow the mules but still cant help but feel very meh from the original hype

I like it, especially the white renderings. I think it could use a little drop. Anyways, thanks for the awesome renderings.

I think the biggest difference is the FT-1 is much more swoopy and the intakes gape a lot more than the renderings. It's entirely possible those are just fake camo bumpers and they could add these wild intakes but only time will tell.

the FT1 is indeed swoopier but that is barely scratching the surface, we can make a list of differences between the FT1 and this mule.. The two biggest disappointments that I can tell so far are the proportions (I prefer 2+2 over 2 seaters for FR coupe setups..) and how tall it looks especially around the front end.

It does look a little chubby but possibly b/c the FT-1 was so long we're used to seeing its design stretched out on the concept. I still dig it and would buy this in a heartbeat if Toyota makes it look like this. Something tells me the front end won't be so radical tho.

Agreed, and I think the angle of the photo plays a role too. As well as the nose / overhang on the concept giving it a longer appearance.

Blogs and auto news are reporting that the new Supra will have Toyotas new twin turbo v6 seen in the new Lexus LS. I wouldn't mind, honestly. Makes the car reliable. Lol

..a little late to the party, there is a thread about this already...the more interesting question now is since the Lexus LS is already at $72 K and the new one is projected to be more, how much will the Supra cost? The MK4 had a MSRP of $40 K ($62 K in today's money). They won't be giving it the 3.5 TT while making it cheaper than the RC F too so I suspect just like the MK4 it will be comparatively expensive in its class.
