Installed mst v2 intake no turbo noises?

Hi

I have a 24 supra Manual and just installed the mst v2 intake. I also have a awe touring exhaust resonated.. I hear the intake noise but I don’t really hear the turbo noises or flutter. I know the MST you should hear it . Trying to troubleshoot if there. Is a problem.

I don't think there's anything extra you need to do in order to hear the turbo aside from installing the intake itself. Are you sure everything is mounted correctly and tight? Could be a loose fitting is letting the air go another way.

I double checked it and made sure the tube that attaches to the turbo is on secure and pushed on all the way. The breather hose looks secure and snapped in place. I head people breaking it and leaving it off. Not sure what that causes. I hear the sucking from the intake . Is the turbo noise at a certain rpm? I keep my rpm around 3 or close to 3500 or 4 since I’m breaking in the engine

You should be able to hear the turbo induction noises starting at 25-35% throttle and purge noises when letting off the gas, especially when letting off at >50% throttle for long enough to build boost. It's not really anything to do with RPM.

You won't really hear anything if you're not applying much throttle because you're not building any boost at low throttle. When it's safe to do so and you're, say, cruising in 4th/5th gear at 2k RPM, go WOT for a few seconds and see if you hear a difference.

You are hearing what you should be hearing from an intake, the induction sound. If you want the turbo whistle, get a catless DP or a T51R Fast and Furious my pee pee is small mod.

u aren't getting into the pedal enough, engine needs to be under load(driving) to make boosty noises

Remove the MST top filter cover and you’ll notice a big sound difference.

What intake are you guys running ? Aramaspeed I was told was the loudest?

Keep in mind that MST has a couple of different versions. One is enclosed, the other is open.

I have the open one, and I hear the turbo with very little throttle input.

I hear swooshing sound from the intake but nothing like the videos.. i don’t hear any fluttter or bov sound. Just doesn’t sound right .. I have look at my connection but they do look secure.. would the breather hose if not secure tight make a difference?

You have to build enough boost in order to hear the flutter of the air bouncing off the throttle plate or through the valves. The car does not have a BOV.
