Yes, because the tuner doesn’t have to second guess what each map does on the oem dme and there are lots and lots of maps to go over.

i know Motec runs great on the GR Yaris and GR86 platforms….so willing to give it a look when it becomes available. Tuners I have seen much prefer that to flash tuning. Basically what you see is what you get, no guessing...

What’s your reasoning on not liking the stand alone? I do want to know the drawbacks from your perspective
What are your power goals?

I want to stay on stock turbo for now, running on AKI 92-93...probably 480hp max. Eventually around 600hp on (again) AKI 92-93, but that's quite a bit further down the track. I understand with hardware wise, anything over 500hp on 93 pump requires a bigger turbo, that's all I know for now.

Street driven mostly? Or track use?

FYI North American final edition is essentially a appearance package
FYI Every <insert your favorite> edition in North America has been an appearance package. Why is everyone surprised or shocked? It's been standard procedure for the last five years, lol.

My car is a first year 6 port edition. That’s special.
Mate.. they're all special. And as soon as production ends next year they will all be even more special. If anything, you should probably be grateful that like us in Australia, the actual proper Final Edition isn't making an appearance there because that would relegate all Supras (including bullshit "special edition" ones) to also rans.. a bit like the Zs after the Nismos came out.

Before this "final edition," we didn't get any "special editions" here but even from this distance, it's hard to describe such editions as anything but clever marketing and pure money grabs. ?‍♂

Z4 bracing that people have posted a billion times already.
right now I’m running no aftermarket bracing and my stock front braces are not installed. Is there a thread somewhere or is there anyone who tracks their car with experience who can comment on whether or not any of this bracing makes a difference in the way the car feels? I mean, there are some bracing options out there like the ultra racing engine bay bracing, this z4 rear bracing, Cusco rear bracing, sard dampers, etc that seem pretty legit and can also get fairly pricey right? Do they “actually” do anything noticeably good? I kinda wanna put bracing all over the place on my car but I can’t convince myself it’s going to be worth it. Alternatively, does anyone know what the flex points really are? Could fab some custom bracing for the chassis if I knew where we needed to put it.

Upgraded sway bars. The rest is mainly cosmetic.
