I once had sex in the back of a geo metro that was sadly in fact automatic.... you might be onto something.Well LA-DEE-DA, look at you Mr. Michael Schumacher. Ex-squeeze me, but can you tell me what the definition of the word supra is? EXACTLY! Common ya'll we gotta beat those Porsche GT3 RS's at the track! BTW getting bj's in a traffic jam with a manual is more of a pain in the ass compared to auto. Just sayin
They don't.Why do actual race cars have automatics most of the time? It's weird how hard some of us push the manual. I get it, but the Supra changed my "manual only" stance. The only thing I miss is be able to rev on command. Otherwise autos have manual mode.
I find it funny that all the real race car drivers that make a living off it most often do not drive manuals in those money making races, yet the normies are all like "mANuAL or bust Bro!!!" "You're not a real driver brah," lol
MT trans holding up to 700+ torque on several cars. How's the auto hold up at that power?oh hey, you gaz. I need some help. Wanted to upgrade a manual trans with
Pure drive train solution
Its just so strange. Its just so weird. So inexplicable.
I can't find the manual option.

so unexpected.

This is great news as I'll eventually want 850whp ?MT trans holding up to 700+ torque on several cars. How's the auto hold up at that power?
Tbh, not sure how that's relevant. Not all of us need 700hp. I'm fine with my jb4...hell I'm fine without it even. 700hp does what in traffic? Around town? Get your car impounded faster i assume.MT trans holding up to 700+ torque on several cars. How's the auto hold up at that power?
Expound on that cause the majority of what I see aren't manuals. Even when they are, they aren't the manuals street Bois are pushin. They don't.
Phil
They are basically manual gearboxes with paddle shift shifting, ie electrical/pneumatic actuators replace the drivers input. No torque converter or automated shift logic involved. Some are twin clutch arrangements and in the MotoGP world they are seemless shift mechanical arrangements.Expound on that cause the majority of what I see aren't manuals. F1, NASCAR, gt, anything with with a car above 100k stock isn't usually manual in what I've seen. Rally is usually sequential shifter not shifter+pedal. I assume the gr na races with twins probably are, but I still don't think "most" are driving manuals.
Right, not what you manual Bois are selling. The Supra has that. Fine, by auto I meant no stick and no extra pedal. Just a paddle or sequential shifter. They are basically manual gearboxes with paddle shift shifting, ie electrical/pneumatic actuators replace the drivers input. Trans reliability at higher torque levels isn't relevant when we're talking about the trans?Tbh, not sure how that's relevant. Not all of us need 700hp. I'm fine with my jb4...hell I'm fine without it even. 700hp does what in traffic? Around town? Get your car impounded faster i assume.
Firstly, the Supra is a street car. It is not a race car. Sure, it is fast and we can race them but without serious modification, Supra's are not race cars. Due to their form, the Supra's raison d'être is primarily for enjoyment and secondly, transportation. Stop pretending you own an automatic NASCAR; You don't.Why do actual race cars have automatics most of the time? It's weird how hard some of us push the manual. I get it, but the Supra changed my "manual only" stance. The only thing I miss is be able to rev on command. Otherwise autos have manual mode.

I'd link the video but the quote should suffice: "If my grandmother had wheels she would've been a bicycle." PDKs are also automatics, we just pretend they're not because after a manual transmission, they're the least worst option.Isn't that what the auto is technically? It has manual mode but no clutch pedal. It's sorta auto and sorta manual /s
Except when real racecar drivers beg their racecar team to build a manual supercar.Right, not what you manual Bois are selling. The Supra has that. Fine, by auto I meant no stick and no extra pedal. Just a paddle or sequential shifter.
You won't find many cars above 100k with the manual ppl are claiming is "engaging," which seems like an insult to everyone with a better car than yours.
Anyways, I/we have abused this 2026 fake and overpriced supra thread. Happy to bicker on a dedicated post,![]()
Id say no not really. I was addressing the manual is the way crowd, not the let's take every aspect into consideration. It's the auto vs "manual always," "manual is engaging," nothing to do with its performance. Ppl weren't crying for a manual since 2019 cause of hp capabilities.Trans reliability at higher torque levels isn't relevant when we're talking about the trans?
"Dual Clutch Transmission" or "Clutchless manual" sounds so much more palatable than "dual clutch automatic" which is far more accurate. Marketing 101. ?I don't like automatics or manuals. That's why I have a DCT.
