Thats just taking it too far. Totally uncalled for.

In my GR Corolla... I didn't even know it had auto rev and drove it around without ever using it... probably says a lot about how oblivious I am about vehicle features.

The Supra I just got came with it on by default and that really messed me up since I never used it before. After getting used to it I thought it was really neat, but I have my sports mode set up with it off and the car starts in sports mode now so... I never use it..

I still miss my automatic ZF. I'm liking the manual, but that ZF auto is something really special. I had it in my F-Type R and loved it in the Supra too.

Driving a sports car in normal comfort mode gives auto vibes.
As anaside I checked my car last time I drove it and the rev match works in both directions which was a bit of a surprise. So it's a dumb system and not smart enough to know the difference between an up change and a down change which may have some actual effect on gear shift feel and performance from 1st to second gear. More influential in the lower gears than the higher so your feeling that the 1st to 2nd change is better with the rev match turned off has some engineering rationale/validity to it.

Yup.. It's pretty dumb. I have it permanent turned off now which does improve the 1-2 shift some.

It's off by default, and the button's not in the most easy to notice location.

The debate is SETTLED. Can't say I'm surprised by this - I've always known automatic owners were diddlers.
