You sound like someone who never saw Clarkson review a Jaguar.
I've watched his reviews on Jaguars. He shits on them for being unreliable pieces of shit but always loves how they have a lot of personality. An example of one his reviews where he's like this is the XJ.

Hold up, the A80 was considered "ugly", "bloated", or "weird" looking when it came out here in the US back in the 90s. Not many were attracted to its polarizing looks at the time. I think the same could be said of this new Supra. The looks are polarizing. I know for sure, many years after the A80 left the US in 98', people were starting to come around to its looks. Especially after FnF movie. It was until many years had passed that the majority would say, "damn, that's sexy" about the A80 supra.
Cars in the early 90's were transitioning away from the boxy look of the 80's. Many of those cars had that round, bloated look; Supra, SC, GS, Celica, 2nd gen Eclipse, 3000GT, Ford Probe, Dodge Viper. It's funny when people bring up the FNF connection. Those who were into imports in 80's and early 90's knew that the Supra was not an ugly car and knew it's potential. Craig Lieberman's yellow MKIV and 'Art N Motion' cars were all over the Import Showoff scene and in magazines way before it made it's transition to the movie car that everyone remembers.

Gunna throw this out there, the 2022 Supra will be the 40th anniversary edition. Considering they had a 15th on the A80 in 1997..:hmm: Might get special treatment similar to LE models of 2020.

All these people were so excited to hear a review from Chris Harris because he was going to blunt and honest. Now that it's out and doesn't please them they are all instantly hating on the guy

Did you sign up to sh!t on the A90 or do you have something constructive to add?

Nice job on smacking the hornets nest, btw.
I joined before you did. You know back when people thought the supra had a chance of not being a z4.

Congrats! Although I don't think it matters when either of us joined.

You don't like the A90 from all the info you've read and/or viewed, that's fine. Why not simply drive it before you form your opinion? It may not live up to your A80 but you need to drive one before coming to that conclusion.

You're the one that signified join date was important.

I think the car is a great car. I think it performs and does alot of things BMW owners have asked for out of the z4 platform. I would love to drive one given the opportunity. I just find "supra" enthusiasts accepting it as a Toyota product is a bit disingenuous.

Thanks for the question,
