What do you need to consider when you are having custom rims made for your A90 Supra?

I am having custom rims made because I don't like any of the current rims available. I am having them remake Racing Hart C5's. They were my favorite rims that I had on my Mercedes C230 Kompressor. I am going with the sizes 19x9.5 and 19x11 and 265/35 and 305x30 based on the fitment industries guide. Currently lowered on MSS adjustable springs. What do I need to consider and make sure they do for it to fit correctly on the Supra? Anything I should look out for or make sure they are aware of? I should have renders soon.

5x112mm bolt pattern and 66.5mm bore, and you should be good.

OFFSET!
This is literally where the wheel is positioned on the hub.

Too much/inward and the wheel might rub the suspension (can fix with spacers) and too little/outward, the wheel pokes out of the well and rubs the body (and you can't fix short of shaving the hub of the rim).

I *think* the offset for your setup may be 30 front and 40 rear. But double check with Apex below and the wheel people.

I'm no wheel expert but since the spokes are flat, make sure the offset clears the front brake calipers?

Not really particular to the GR Supra, but for any car with BBK, definitely measure and remeasure and measure again, the backspacing needed as taiyaki stated above. Flat spokes can look good on sedans and stuff, but on a curvy car like our Supra, might look out of place.. and out of date.

Hmm. I am trying to go for something different then the normal setups I see on most of the A90s. Racing hart C2s & C5s were on all the top cars in the late 90s and now they're super rare.

Not that I'm against custom wheels since I do love the old 90's Style Rays/Volk, Advan etc

But have you looked at/considered any modern offerings that look somewhat like the C5's?

Just off the top of my head:

BC Forged TD03: https://bcforged-na.com/monoblock/td03/

SSR Professor SP4: https://www.ssr-wheels.com/sp4/

Work Zistance W5S: https://www.workwheelsusa.com/product/zistance-w5s/

CCW LM5: https://ccwheel.com/shop/lm5

A lot of the above being multi-piece/modular, you can order to your desired spec/colour as well.If you have and decided custom is the way you want to go, the renders look great and I hope it turns out well, but if you haven't seen any of the above, there's definitely some alternatives to consider that are from tried/true brands and will come with the proper JWL/VIA Certifications etc.

Thank you so much for your input. I really like the last 3 options. I might use these wheels just for show. It's my birthday gift to myself. I always wanted these wheels when I was younger and now they're not available any more. I really like the CCW LM5's I might get those too.. Great feedback!

Like many have mentioned here, the biggest factors are going to be offset and spoke design. Even with the right offset if the spoke design is flat, as is the case with the C5's, you run the risk of there not being enough clearance for the caliper. This is why some companies offer different disk variations. I would reach out to them to verify how much clearance you have from the back of the spoke to the mounting face of the wheel.

That being said, if they do not clear you can possibly run a 5-15mm spacer to have it clear BUT then you would need to readjust the offsets and possible the width on the wheels themselves.

None of this is difficult but when ordering custom wheels, especially from a company who may not specifically make them for A90's, you want to double/triple/quadruple check your numbers.

In the end, if you like them and want them and can afford them then why not get what makes you happy?
