Just got my update done and it seemed to have a newer version that what I've read from this thread. I got S18T-24-11-520.

One thing I found annoying my radio presets use to be able to save page I wanted (I used preset 8 for my vehicle sport settings). But now I can't save anything on those presets except for music stations. Can anyone else verify this on their updated cars?

did you get find a solution for this ? After the DCM update, all my preset got resetted

I have it really bad - See below. Others are having this too I take it, anyone having stalling issues?

2020 Supra A90 - 12,500 Miles

The below notes are for my dealer this week when I take it in, GE are my initials for reference!

Example 1:

Video: Video Footage 1
Mode: Normal
Gearbox: Normal - Auto Mode
Traction and Stability Control: On
Engine Temp: 2 Bars
Fuel Level: Half (99 Octane)
Start Stop: Automatically Disabled by the cars own logic.

Written Explanation: GE reverses from the drive onto the road from his driveway. GE traverses from ā€˜Reverse’ to ā€˜Drive’ and then steps onto the accelerator pedal; no response from the vehicle, until the car begins to hesitate and roll backwards with the revs jumping. GE presses harder on the accelerator pedal, the vehicle stalls and shifts into ā€˜Neutral’ automatically and shuts the car off. GE restarts the vehicle manually as the vehicle does not self recover, GE shifts into ā€˜Drive’ and tries to accelerate, his foot his past the kick down detent. Car accelerates like it has 30hp short shifting.

Observations: The vehicle revs judder, this can be felt slightly in the cabin. The rev needle can be seen to judder below 1k revs, at around 800rpm idle revs.

Example 2:

Video: Video Footage 2
Mode: Normal
Gearbox: Normal - Auto Mode
Traction and Stability Control: On
Engine Temp: 3 Bars
Fuel Level: Half (99 Octane)
Start Stop: On, later moved to disabled by GE.

Written Explanation: GE drives down the road, performs a 3 point turn in the middle of the road. GE is able to accelerate from a stop, with slight but tolerable throttle hesitation, up the hill. GE comes to a stop, the vehicles Start Stop function activates, GE disables this manually. GE steps on the accelerator to half throttle, slow off the mark acceleration from a standing start. GE pushes throttle to full power (no kick down) and continues to have slow acceleration.

Top Level Observations:

  • The issue is not purely related to transitioning between reverse and drive as shown. On the 15th July, GE had attempted to accelerate quickly from the lights to swap lane, but had to be let in by a 1 Series BMW as car would not accelerate quickly, until it then later provided me with full power.

  • The issue does not seem related to fuel level, or engine temperate.

  • The issue appears to be more prominent in Normal drive mode, although this can sometimes occur in Sport drive mode.

  • I do not think that this is traction control related, or predictive traction control, as the issue happens at low speeds when the vehicle hasn’t even moved yet. GE naturally presses harder on the throttle pedal if the car does not respond. Natural reaction, consider pulling out in traffic from a t junction or a roundabout?

  • Auto Start Stop seems overly keen, this is often disabled by GE in attempt to reduce this issue. Although as you can see in the footage, the car stalled when Auto Start Stop was disabled by the car’s logic, see Start Stop symbol with cross through it in Video Footage 1.

  • The vehicle does not rev match on downshifts in manual mode or auto mode when slowing down and downshifting. The vehicle jolts. GE sometimes rests his foot on the accelerator when coming to a stop to rev match for the vehicle, this smooths the downshifts out. It’s like the vehicle is clutch dumping down gears and the car does not rev match to compensate. As mentioned, GE sometimes holds his foot the accelerator when slowing down in traffic to smooth this out. GE sometimes left foot brakes to smooth out the downshifts when driving quickly to avoid upsetting the car on the brakes.

No buddy, there were zero hidden codes in the DME. Dealer couldn’t replicate the problem.

I’ve since stopped using V Power and started using Esso 99 and it’s not done it since. A good 5 weeks of no issues
