I told my dealer I didnt want the CF caps and they removed them from thr invoice... I'm in northern VA and the car was initially supposed to be here on 7/22 or 23 but it was delayed till 8/4 for "quality control"... what was the software issue? Or anyone have details as to what the quality issue was?

well spec sheet is below, I don't have the car yet, because of software issue, I think they had removed the window sticker. I'll check hopefully on Monday. They said, they need to check/consult/verify by Toyota before they do things. I'm told a software upgrade is needed...

If you're referring to my software issue, it's due to the blindspot detection and adaptive cruise control, well "safety features" are not working... Tech discovered this during PDI. which is interesting as these are the stuff in the Drivers Assist Package. So, perhaps Toyota didn't program the optional features?

anything other than that is speculation for the delays, at least my dealer didn't know anything about why things got delayed...

I think the delay is by design. Create a bigger fuzz over the car. First week SET and East coast went out. Late fist week and second week (starts tomorrow) GST and middle of the country. Late second week into third week West coast.

Did you score at MSRP? I believe your wait/hold is accurate as I'm also awaiting a Northern VA delivery.

Well I think your theory may be off a bit. I am on East coast (NY)and was updated yesterday that my car should be here 7/30 thru 8/6/19. Was delayed at port, but no idea why according to dealer.

I think all these dealers are swiping the LE red mirror caps to dress up the non LE cars later on.

Unfortunately no, I paid a small bit of a premium for the launch edition but not much. How about you?

Just got mine, at MSRP, Premium 3.0 with Adaptive Package. This baby its amazing. I'm in the process of breaking-in, the dealer recommend not to push it over 3.5k - 4k rpm and not launch it at all until it hits 1.2k miles :spaz:

My car is marked sold, my deposit is on the books, and I have the purchase order; but no keys in hand so I'm still nervous something could go awry. However, so far, MSRP (+ that damn VA $799 processing fee!).

Those of you waiting in the DMV, my dealer just hit me. The hold up for inspection was for an even worse reason --- Vehicle damaged in transit.

My VIN is being replaced with a new one; let me know if anyone else suffered the same fate. I'm interested in what happened.
