Do you happen to know how wide the lip is? Would a 5ft wide roll of vinyl be able to cover it in one piece?
I ordered a 7'Ă—5' piece. Thankfully I did too because the wrap shop messed up the first attempt and used the rest of the roll to complete the work.

Not a Corvette.
Measure from the center point of the wheel to the fender lip, that way your measurement doesn't change with tire diameter changes. If all you care about is ride height, then sure, do the above.

Your car is crazy low, I can't imagine the geo is having a good time.

So his car is 1.75" lower than OEM in the front.

Yes. The car is too low. I wanted to have that specific floor height and rake, but I have been on 19 inch staggered wheels. It required a very short hub to fender lip distance.

Now I have a new set of 18 inch squared wheels. So The suspension has to go up in order to keep the same floor height. And it will go up to 13.25 inches (1.25 inches lower than OEM)on the front and about 14 inches in the rear (0.5 inches lower than OEM).

I will keep pretty much the same floor height and the same rake, but on 18 inch wheels.

Im already on adjustable links and arms. I will be adding the Coilovers and camber plates.

Wait, you are on OEM struts and that low? You must just be riding the bump stops everywhere. The car is going to feel like a superhero compared when you get coilovers.

Answering with a little shame: Yes.

Are you not going to have taller tire sidewalls accordingly? Generally speaking if you go from 19 to 18" wheels the sidewall of the tire increases in height to make up for the difference (i.e. from a 30 to a 35 or something). The overall height of the combo ends up the same. Changing wheel diameter, if the tire is also changed, shouldn't change your ride height (car to ground distance).

For tires, what are you going from and to?

the tire sidewall depends on 2 things:

the tire’s size and the profile (fraction)

in my case, on the front, I’m going from a 275/35 on a 19 inch, to a 275/35 on an 18 inch. I’m going to lose about 1.5 inches on tire diameter - So I will have to raise my suspension by about 0.75 inches to keep the same floor height.

in the rear I’m running 295/35 on 19 and I’m going to 275/35 on 18 wheel. On that one I’m losing a total of 1.8 inches of diameter. So I will have to raise the suspension almost a full inch to keep the same floor and rake profile.

I do my calculations using

Alright, yeah you got it. You were already running some slightly big sidewalls to start with. It feels like you're headed a little opposite with the new wheels, short sidewalls at 35, where 40 might be more normal there (to match factory, when using 18") but of course you don't have to. I know Supra's here have a long history of track tire discussions.

Again though, yeah you know what's up, I figured you would but just checking. Sometimes it's easy to get wrapped up in the numbers and miss something.
