It's more the toe settings that can transform the Supra in stock form. Mine also wanted to kill me every chance it had until I dialed in toe better. Toe-in in the rear is the difference between a widow maker and a stable rear.
Can you expand on the toe settings. From what I have read (and I don't even have my Supra, hopefully Saturday), there seems to be a dynamic issue when you unload the car the rear becomes unpredictable.

That’s the opposite of what I’m use to in my 992, and even my cayman.

Since it’s a dynamic issue and not a static issue what are some of the work around, or does tie in solve most of it.

First thing I’m going to do is take to my alignment shop. Any suggestions for stock suspension for a car mostly driven for spirited driving and track use?

Many people including myself do rear adjustable toe links and rear adjustable traction arms to help solve this issue. In my case it helped to an extent, but it's still not perfect. I have rear adjustable upper lateral arms going in next that will hopefully really bring the rear end stability together.

Good pick! I was facing the same choice back 2022, and eventually picked up my Supra last year — 100% no regrets! I’m keeping this car forever since it’s actually pretty affordable for me.

Any updates from the OP? I think he’s having too much fun with the new Supra to post!!

I have a 992.1 GTS and just got a Final Edition on Sunday. I should’ve gotten a MKV much sooner. The Supra is a blast to drive. Feels very nimble and just the right size. A huge plus is mods are much cheaper than anything with the Porsche tax. You’re going to love that Supra. Anyone sitting on the fence should go for it.

Congratulation!!!!!!
Sorry, I have been focused on sorting my Cayman for weekend at two different tracks.

I love the car so far but only have put 300 breaking miles so can't do an honest comparison yet. As soon as I can open her up I will. So far it's a fantastic do it all car.

Not a Corvette.
It's interesting that Toyota/Magna Steyr decided to put the M-lite diff cover with smaller cooling fins on all the newer 26 Supra, regardless of if it's a FE with the Z4 bracing or not.

I still need a bit of seat time and want to get more miles on it before going full send but my initial reaction is positive. Even though I have the 18 way adjustable seats from the GTS. The MKV seems to fit me better. I’m 6 foot 240 pounds. I love the fact that the MKV drives like a smaller car feeling more nimble. I have a few other cars, 2025 BMW X5, 2026 Ram 3500, 1989 930 Turbo, 1988 944, 1935 Ford Model 51 truck and a 1986 911 Targa. Even though the 930 is a blast to drive, the Targa gets the nod from me on empty winding roads. Sure the GTS chews up those roads and spits them out but the MKV reminded me of the Targa in that aspect.

I’m really glad I went with the MKV. I was going to trade my GTS in for a new GT3 but between the price difference and added markup I decided to look at other options. Instead went with the MKV, kept the GTS and I have not looked back.

Now I have a new issue, my wife seems to have commandeered the MKV so I’m not sure when I’ll be able to get more seat time in it!

Congrats on the new purchase. Love the color. Supras eat back roads....it's the whole reason I bought one. You don't have to much with suspension to enjoy it. I run dampers on normal and use correct throttle inputs through corners....very little rear end issues. Only complaint is a tiny wiggle with off loading throttle in the hardest of corners. I'm thinking stiffer bushings will do the trick. I m curious to follow your feedback once you get the 1200 break in miles in...

Thanks for the detailed info. I will definitely follow up. A lot has to do with my driving style since I am so use to middle engine cars that I can really balance with my throttle.
