What about upgraded radiators tho?Alll the Supra needs s a set of coilovers, RE71RS, brake fluids and a stock GTS with a equivalent driver will not be able to go faster. I see a lot of Porsche GTs got demolished by light moded Supras at the Sydney Motorsports Park which is also where the World Time Attack event is held annually
I've done PB's on RE71RS in 5C (41F) ambient temps. Do a good warm up lap then let'r rip.I don't really watch Savagegeese.
Look at the outside temp. 8C vs 30C. The RE71RS works when there is soem heat in them. I don't know if they warm up the tires before setting their lap time?
You got that rightThanks!
I guess you can tell the grew up in the 80s!
You’re looking at online lap times to argue. I have actual real world track l
So the difference between me and you is that I actually had a GTS and Supra and drove it on the same track multiple times for multiple years meanwhile you’re trying to research what other people got in their Supra and GTS. Pretty sure my own experience tells me what the cars run in terms of lap times. You realize you’re trying to tell someone who owned and tracked his own GTS, what the GTS runs right ?I literally have YouTube videos posted for this
Hello gentlemen,So I have put 700 miles on the Supra and love it. Did a mountain run and it was hard to keep under 6k rpm, but tried my best until I reach 1k miles.
How does it compare to the 992T.
Surprisingly it drives very similar to T. The power delivery feels the same before I got the Carrera T tuned and added Catless downpipes.
It feels lighter and more nimble, even though on paper it weighs more. I enjoy driving it more. It's not as analog or fun as my 987.2 3.8 (my track car), but its does so many things well.
It performed flawlessly in the North Georgia Mountain. I was concern it would be tail happy, but I did not notice any of that.
Overall I am very pleased with my decision and do not miss the Carrera T, except for the sound.
My plan is to keep it mostly stock, but am considering a catted downpipes for additional noise, leaning towards FI highflow downpipe. Open to suggestions, just don't want a CEL.
It's a fantastic do everything car.
Shhh, they might merge and make the all powerful SupraSulu666.
