Hey guys,

Im looking for an aftermarket exhaust for my Supra. I will be keeping the stock downpipe as of right now. I was gonna get the AWE track exhaust till I realized that it does not come with valves. Then I looked into boostlogic and not only is it really expensive, but apparently people are saying they crack. What is the most aggressive valved exhaust you guys would reccomend? Thanks a lot for any insight.

Aggressive in what way? In sport only? If so, you want something with no Mufflers or resonators when the valve is open. titan and dinan turn into straight pipes.

Aggressive in both comfort and sport? That you want something with no Mufflers on either path so it's basically loud all the time. That's the boostlogic. But at that point, why even bother with a valved exhaust?

The suggestion above, hks, has mufflers on both paths so it will not do what you want.

Get the downpipe first. You won’t regret it…
I agree!! For a time I really enjoyed having the car with a stock exhaust and aftermarket downpipe. I went with the Active Autowerke GESI Catted downpipe and it sounded really nice! Even got pops and bangs on hot summer days in jersey (I changed my exhaust around fall time). As my friends advised me I would enjoy every mod if you can... the downpipe alone really does make a difference! And who knows you might not want to get an exhaust rn 🤷

There’s a lot of videos on YouTube with exhaust setups. Vhince Christmas Tree has comparisons from different supras.

I was a bit torn between a Dinan and Borla exhaust, but I selected the Dinan for two reasons:
1. Its pipe routing appears to be better for Sport mode driving.
2. It was about $500 less expensive when on sale.

My guess is that the Borla system may have less drone in Sport mode, given its resonator before the split. I would probably be happy with either, but liked the Dinan sound more. I do have sound level measurements for stock and Dinan, if you're interested.

Yeah I only want it aggressive in sport mode.

You wasted time to write your backhanded reply when you could’ve just written the name of your recommendation and called it a day. I’m sorry you are unhappy and/or feel inadequate.

I know but you just can’t really tell over YouTube. My buddy has an aftermarket midpipe+downpipe on his BMW and in person it sounds really loud and really good, but when I film it in a video it doesn’t sound that good.

Understood, thanks for the in depth reply. I would love to see the measurements if you don’t mind. Thanks.

Thanks for sharing that. Seems like it’s barely louder than stock. I’m looking for something a lot louder and aggressive. I’ll keep looking.

You're welcome. It seems like the only way to get louder is to eliminate the cat, with or without a downpipe change. Many of the Supra owners here have done this. Their cars are extremely loud.

Barely a difference at high rpm with stock open valve vs. Dinan closed vs. Dinan open. I don't have this exhaust but based on the videos I've seen it should be much louder than stock with the valves open no? Especially given its has no muffler with the valves open.

Borla is way louder outside the car with valves open and its the same basic design.
