Installed the coilovers and fixed a couple of issues with a broken sensor.

as per manufacturer check HERE the initial adjustment is
Compression: 4/8
Rebound: 8/18

which is straightforward in the front. But in the rear (see pic) the orientation is confusing:

The adjuster is at the top of the strut. I think the adjuster on the pic is in Compression, as marked by the “C” on the line. But watch how the “C” is backwards.

the instructions call for the adjuster to be set to 0 by turning it clockwise and then turn counterclockwise to 8.

but because the adjuster is backwards the direction of the turn MUST be the opposite. Right? So in my case will be turn counterclockwise to 0 and then start counting to the desired setting by turning clockwise.

I hope I’m making my question clear.

Turning the circle clockwise is minus, turning it counter clockwise is plus. There should be - and + markings on the side (see photo below)

The selection is currently on compression in that photo. When you flip it so the R by the line it's rebound. Looks like they changed that adjuster a bit. Mine is a circle. (see photo below)

The knob adjusts both Compression and Rebound, depending on how you have the lever set.

Compression has 14 clicks of adjustment
Rebound has 18 clicks of adjustment

Which shock vendor did you get your MCS from? How did you make your selection?

Many shock vendors sell MCS Supra coilovers but how many of them actually tested the shock package?

I went with Vorshlag, they made the whole package with the springs (they have 3 levels of spring rates) and got their camber plates.

everything came assembled and ready to be bolted on.

Ooooof, sorry to hear that. Have photos of the whole setup? Do they actually put helper springs in them now? My setup from them sucked absolute dogshit. Didn't even work until I changed a bunch of stuff, and Terry is a supreme dick.

Makes me think they never even had a Supra to test fitment.

If you’re partial to MCS, I’ve heard good things from bimmerworld and limit+1 in Chicago

Personally, I went with Racewerkz in Burbank CA. Majority of their business are race cars, but also will do street cars. Casey, the owner, has been awesome to work with and even did a free divorce conversion and install when I ran into rear swaybar clearance with my aFe bar w/ true rear coilover.

MCS’s new articulating rear spring perches for divorced setups is a really really high quality piece vs the basic adjustable spring perches you get on a typical coilover.

yes. Probably they improved their ways. After I had made the order I found bad reviews of the company. I was ready to call it off and called them twice to be sure I was getting everything as promised.

finally it all arrived. As far as the quality of the springs, and the camber plates that’s to be seen.

do the Vorshlag plates have any caster adjustment? Their plates always looked like good quality.

I’m also curious as to how dealers choose their springs. They all seem to come up with some reason why they choose swift vs hyperco vs eibach, etc.

If you mount them turned, yea. Their bearings suck but the actual machined parts of their plates are good.

I have used Eibach ERS for years without issue, but like you said, everyone has their goto's.

Small Update
Leaving things here for the collective knowledge base:

after installing the coilovers my
Rear right seemed rough with metallic noise on deep compression on the street, so just lifted up the car and found contact between the Verkline sway bar adjustable link upper screw and the spring, both rears.

will have to place some sort of spacer there I just need 2mm to clear it.

also need to put the dust boots on the links, I got the one tool that is needed. Will add yet another update to this thread.

Is the bolt rubbing against the spring an issue with the stock end links?

I’m assuming most that have height adjustable coilovers will also have adjustable end links, so the only solution is to trim the bolt down.

The only other solution is a divorced rear, correct?
