Trunk won’t open - backpack strap stuck between the latch

Hello, I got a backpack strap stuck between the latch mechanism on the truck of the car. Tried using the button on the fob and the door to open the truck but it won’t budge. I also tried pulling the backpack from inside the cabin but it’s stuck. Any ideas? Thanks

Maybe the trunk doesn't think it's latched so unlatch button isn't working. Push down on the trunk to see if you can get it to think it's latched and then hit the unlatch button while holding the trunk down. Otherwise pull unreasonably hard on the backpack and hope you don't break something.

Also try the emergency release pull.

Cutting the strap was the only thing that worked when this happened to me. Cut it and pull like there is no tomorrow. Might help to have a friend push down or pull up on the trunk lid while you’re pulling on the strap from lm inside.
