Not sure if my eyes are deceiving me but it looks like someone from Japan (possibly) is driving it in these latest photos.

Maybe Akio wanted to take it out for a spin?

The passenger is definitely white, but the driver could pass for Asian.

Worked something on paint (not the greatest) lol to try and give it a better feel for what the rear may look like once the rear side window are displayed

^^ I could see that being Randy. He did get to test the LC500 during proto-type testing. I played around with paint and decided to somewhat make out what the rear side windows may look like without the camo and extra layer of panels (not the greatest).

If someone photoshops the FT-1 tail lights on it, I'm sure it will look really close to it.

Edit: added a rear diffuser for kicks and giggles, exhaust is a bit off haha. If anyone wants to enhance this feel free, I'm no pro in any way or shape in this field.

yea it looks really close if the FT1 design fell into water & forgotten its own proportions The only design cues I see from the rear so far are the duck tail (which looks scrunched up compared to the FT1's), shape of the rear window & taillights and maybe the air vents around those lights. the placement of the lights & exhausts don't look really exotic like the FT1's which were placed as wide as possible. might have some inspiration from the ft1 but it don't look "close" to me.

Concept vs rendering by @Administrator. Also the humps on the upper quarter panel are camo panels and not the car itself. I really think the white rendering gives us the best possible preview of the rear.

Moved the exhaust, raised the rear window, and shrunk the hips.

I thought it was Randy as well when I first saw the photos but in the shot where you can see the driver in the mirror, he looks totally different. Also, if you look at the front shot, you can see that the driver's eyes are a different shape to Randy's.

Man oh man, I wish it was him though. He's seriously one of my favorite people on the internet.

You're right, even the earlier mule did not have that odd bump.

..there are several differences from that first mule, overall nose shape, shape of the rear hatch/glass, design around the taillights are quite different, the height of the headlights are not the same, even the ducktails aren't the same size..it is quite odd that the camo panels became very different after the first mule..in some parts they seemingly took off camo whereas other areas they seemingly added more?
