Have you considered adding a small gusset above the narrow section for the right lower mounting point? Which FEA software are you using to model it?

Looks like it could be a weak point.

hello, sorry been busy over the holiday. Whats pictured is an early proto print of the updated mount just to let people know it was coming. There is extra support there even though we never broke one in testing without the extra support. thanks for the concern.

I don't mind this design campaired to the other diff braces. The upper rear mounts to the diff cover on other designs are largely redundant for all practical purposes . When drive is applied to the diff the pinion housing rotates upwards so the lower bolts on the diff cover are under tension which is good and the upper bolts are doing almost nothing under compression. The brace is so beefy upper mounts aren't really needed for transmitting the torque load into the subframe. If you're not going to add any aditional mount point over on the drivers side (LHD) then all that extra material on that side is just dead weight as well. It's only a torque brace not a primary support so no point overdoing it.

You have valid points about the compression of the brace when you stomp on the gas.

The problem are the mounting points for the differential, it’s not symmetrically mounted. The movement is not linear its elliptical like the drawing below.

The Twisted Tuning brace acts like an additional mounting point to the sub frame. It also minimizes nonlinear movement to the rest of the rear drivetrain.

The placement of those beefed up gussets is what makes this brace top notch. The 2nd gusset on the right is set in between the upper mounting points to the sub frame.

That’s a stronger and more rigid mechanical design.
