Keep your flame throwers holstered...I LOVE this car - it just doesn't love me/my back. Short story long:
I had a deposit down with my regular dealer the day after the Detroit show (#1 on list). They got the White LE I ordered in and the Toyota Sales Manager promptly sold it to his buddy. So, my odyssey began in search of. A small regional dealer emailed me back on Thursday a couple of weeks ago and said sorry - already sold. They sent another email on Friday saying it was available and asked if I was still interested. Saturday morning I took off in my '95 SC 400 (yes-original owner) with a full head of steam. It was love at first sight, and there was no way I was leaving without it. The first time I sat in the car was when I drove it off the lot. That's when my problem began...
The seat in the Supra is is extremely comfortable and supportive - obviously much better than my old SC. But when I finally got home I couldn't hardly get out. I have degenerative disk disease; legally handicapped. I didn't realize how much I was virtually enveloped into the seat. I have a car assist cane handle that worked fine in my dropped SC, but in the Supra - not so much.
So, I've decided that this is a young bucks car and not for an old fart like me. I just can't envision this car with handicapped license plates...
If there's still anyone looking for an LE, I've got one resting in my garage impatiently waiting for someone to play with. PM me if interested.
By the time all the smoke cleared, I'm about $25-30K over MSRP, so no low-ball offers please. I'm not desperate; just really pissed at myself.
